  • @chemicandbb

They weren't even near the Inca...the Inca were about as far away from the Maya and Mexica as the Gupta Indians were from Greece.

  • @RogueShadows the inca were from Peru

  • Sure this song is talking about El Dorado, but being from Guatemala, and having mayan roots, I just change it to Tikal. Tikal the magnificent :)

  • In real life, the conqiztadors (Spanish Troops) did find a city made of gold in 1519. But the Conqiztadors looted all the gold and burned the city to the ground. The Conqiztadors found El dorado while General Henary Courtes and about 500 Conqizadors were on thier way to Mexico City. The real city of El dorado wasn't made of all gold like the movie says. But it did have lots of golden things like, weapons, julery, dishes, walls, tables, etc.

  • fucking takes me back

  • Brings back memories of childhood the Native Americans thought the Spaniards when they came to south america and modern day United States were gods even though the city of gold is just myth. The Spaniards coming to the Americas is true though. Cortes was not necessarily a good person as I would understand but times were different. Some people don't understand also why some Spaniards had blond hair and blue eyes.

  • The city's reality is questionable. I mean they are searching for it. I just love this song though.

  • :) el dorado :3 love it

  • AWESOME! The whole song finally! :D

  • No dislikes! Hope it stays like that for a long time :)

  • @ELsword08 Looks like Cortez found this video's hiding place in the mountains so high and waters deep. :(

  • I love the song and the movie, but I don't really like the video you made.. It would be good if you made it from the movie captures or trailers...

  • This may be on par with a Tarzan song

  • City of Z, another is another legendary hidden Aztec city too. They didn't make a movie about it though.

  • @shanonfreek There are plans for a movie, but not an animation.

  • @shanonfreek That's really cool. I watched a documentary on the guy who died trying to find it. Kind of sparked my interest.

  • Wow no dislikes... thats a first

  • I love this song and this movie!!!!!

  • el dorado is a lot like the maya's they played the same games and stuff :)

  • Your most welcome!

I also have fond childhood memories of this movie.

  • @dawoof4ever *you're

  • Thanks a million! I love this song, brings back childhood memories.

  • funny move i liiked this the opening was good but is this a real city?!?!? )_)

  • @KaitiLuvsU13

El Dorado is a mythical city :)

This song is from the movie made by Dreamworks.

  • @dawoof4ever Well it's a mystery yet to be solved, kinda like Atlantis.

  • @dawoof4ever In addition - it was slightly based off Aztec Civilisation - which is why Cortez was moseying around that area.

  • @dawoof4ever Well technically, The City of Gold was in fact real though because the Spanish looted so much gold, the city isn't there any more. Though, saying it was made from actual gold could be simply a misunderstanding like how immigrants heard that in America, the streets were paved with gold. Also, Sebula was, in Native American, also seen as a City of Gold so I believe there is some truth and it isn't completely a myth.

  • @dawoof4ever

well really not a mythical city because i remember seeing a documentry saying they found the city but the thing was there was no gold it was just three land marks but u can correct me if u want too.

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 lOz I LIME TIS MOVEI! rock on

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 Specifically, El Dorado was the Spanish name for a Muisca king who would supposedly cover himself in gold dust, later reimagined as a city of gold.

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 Still it gets ya wonderin

  • @KaitiLuvsU13

There is a place, that I just finished visiting a couple days ago Chichen itza, it's said to be like el dorado.

Look up pictures on google. They even have fields for the sick sport that Miguel and Tulio play with the small small hoops

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 Not much of a thinker

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 it could be a real city

cause it was known as a city of gold or rather treasure

the Mayan's treasure wasn't gold but instead knowledge

so instead a city of gold it was a city of knowledge

sorry if this is boring to you

  • @Yardnoc3103 Nah tis not boring a sophmoreliek me in high schoo its not boring

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 We wish, don't we? XD No, it's just a legend, though. Too bad - I'd totally go if it were a real place. Ne? *nodding*

  • @Cierrakahana *she nodds to* yep

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 No one's ever found it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Myths and legends have to come from somewhere.

  • @leshyaedawnfire and there are tons of them. shangra-la, el dorado, atlantis.

heck even america has its hidden treasures.

the lost dutchmen mine for instance. it is lost somewhere in the state of arazona.

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 Well It's kinda,The city Might be made up but El Darodo really represents the Aztecs and how the spanished pretended to be Gods and take all the gold but in a more brutal way ( wars I mean) I might be wrong. anyway its an wonderful movie.

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 Yea, if it was real we would have found it with all the deforestation. But we havnt, and if it was real the forests would have taken over it like in other ancient citys. If it was real, i doubt it is still today. :( Would have been a great archeological find :(

  • @MultiDocdoom Not necessarily. There are still alot of places in South and Central America and Central Africa with very thick rainforests that are difficult to navigate without a native guide. I believe that there are still mysteries waiting for us in there. Cities of gold, doubtful, but maybe living dinosaurs.

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 It´s a Mythical Mayan City located by Central America. Guatemala or Belize. The Spaniard Hernan Cortez died Trying to find it.

  • @KaitiLuvsU13 it is not real, but this city is like Tenochtitlan, an ancient azteca city in Mexico:)

  • i never heard the full song so i see what they cut together.

  • I love this song, and the ending was great too:)

  • I love this song

  • God.....such an amazing song :D

Trumpet in the beginning is slightly out of tune...but Elton John was a freaking beast...so its coo!

  • thanks for sharing

  • Awesome.

  • @TheSonicbuddy

    Thank you so much!

  • @dawoof4ever It's wierd cause El Dorado was portrayed in many ways but it was a city of gold but El Dorado was actually a giant statue with the god's on it. Another thing is that it was a tomb for a king.

But as i said it is portrayed in many ways, and this is really a top movie!

  • @Darkfigure101 Well the actual El Dorado was the king who i forget how often used to sail into the middle of this lake with priests covered in this sap and gold dust and other golden items and he threw the gold into the lake and dipped in himself.

Btw does anyone know if there is any difference between el dorado the city and cibola?

  • @Azrael666Azazel Haha, thanks man. I knew it was a tomb for the king (in a way). Still, this movie is So SO good :D

Thanks for the info by the way :)

  • well now its 100 veiws! getting better!

  • only 67 veiws! oh dear dawoof4ever!
