  • Although i respect you and your believes. I just don't agree with them. Isn't it great to have that right? I would not be comfortable living in the invirnment I seen on your videos. I love my country, ( the way it was intended to be.) But people are changing it into something BETTER. Very Scary.

  • @altonrocker Yes it is great that people don't have to agree with each and the Venus Project will not change that. The evironment you see in the videos..... do you mean Florida ( I agree its too warm for someone like me :P) or cities? ( cities are usually great places to meet people) And yes the United States was an interesting experiment , but unfortunately it failed to accomplish its goal of a balanced government. And no they are not changing into something better, they're destroying it :(

  • @Elzon1

Better: something superior in quality or condition or effect

They are definitely not making it better. You can say they are changing it though. Changing it for the worst however :(

    Great.... now I'm sad T_T

  • So each city around the world would be on it's own? Any monitary system has to have some base for value. And the group controling the value, needless to say, control everything. And if the money has no value, well that means it's worthless. I just don't see how this can work. It really looks alot like communisum.

  • @altonrocker Each city on it's own? I guess you could say that, although policies would probably be similar. No monetary system has value in and of itself, it is the utility of the monetary system that is it's value (even a gold based monetary system). Virtually everyone can create there own "money" in the system I propose. In fact "money" is created whenever trade is taking place. Inflation itself is based on trade in my system and deflation is controlled by a time vs. trade ratio.

  • @Elzon1 And no its not communism. You haven't even heard of how we propose to accomplish our goals yet so.... how can you say its communist? Do our goals seem communistic? If yes, then how so?

  • What it basicaly comes down to..is that for example say BMW...they can still produce cars, but their motivation for doing so, would be probably why they started building cars in the first place: the satisfaction of building a beautiful automobile, rather than the PROFIT. What Jacque is saying is that countries will co=operate with each other FREELY, not for money, because they know it will be beneficial to them in the end. People will be motivated by love rather than self centeredness.

  • People would rather just make a beautiful car yes, but ONLY IF MONEY WORRIES ARE OUT OF THE WAY. By "money worries" I don't mean money itself, I mean the ability to put food on the table and pay bills. No profit, are going to sweat your but off working to produce something for someone else and not get anything in return whatsoever. Remeber any medium of exchange there is no escaping that. Although I advocate we come up with a new monetary system.

  • You mean if they had enough resources to live on right? Thats what The Venus Project is about. Its about changing the world from running on a monetery system to a resource based system. We DO have enough resourcesin the world right now to look after every single person to the best degree. Its just that the monetary system stops this from happening. So, yes, people will have their needs taken care off and will then be free to wrok for those things the like doing.

  • Indeed, my point is that it is TODAY's monetary system is flawed in its primary workings. I think we could come up with a new one that prevents scarcity without too much trouble if we put our heads together on the subject.

  • If you want to know more you should watch the movie Zeitgeist Addendum.

  • Indeed, I have already watched the movie and I am also a part of the ZeitgeistMovement forums as well. I think things are not presented clearly enough in most of the presentations. Greater explanation during such presentations would possibly be appreciated by those who view them.

  • @Elzon1 New monetary system? Like what then? The bottom line is as long as we have money of any kind there will always be CORRUPTOIN. That is the flaw of money.

  • @daanimalboy

True! I have the ability to create inspiring multimedia projects involving graphic design and music. But instead of being able to pursue those, I spend my days selling a company's products because that's what puts food on my table. I'm good at my job but it's not the best use of my talents. I convince consumers to buy more stuff. Sometimes this means selling useful solutions. Other times it means selling regardless of whether they will find the products useful. This is wasteful.

  • Well i can't disagree with any of that. I'm just saying. That could never happen. The UNITED NATIONS would never let it happen. Because bildiburg won't let them. Besides who would be in control of it all. Someone has to be. Who is going to keep up the maintenance on all that equipment, and computers?

  • @altonrocker Like I already said, it would be setup in a free market with a new "money-like" system. This of course means there will be people around to do things, but there won't be a central group of people controlling everything (which is what I think you are trying to say). There is no need for a central control system. And anyways if there was it would be ineffecient and it probably wouldn't accomplish what it was supposed to accomplish.

  • @Elzon1 What the overall system will look like and how it will work is still up for discussion. There is no way to save the system we are in today without using new ideas. Basically we are going to have to start anew with the best ideas we can muster. The Venus Project (in case you didn't already notice) is a set of goals not an actual system in itself. We still need the ideas, resources, and people to get us there. Those in the movement know this as a "Transition System".

  • Who would Control it The UNITED NATIONS?

  • Absolutely not, the U.N. has yet to accomplish the orginial goal it set out to do. Most likely it will end up being some sort of free market system. No money (as in the normal way money works). A free market economy without laws, just policies. No central power system.

  • If you think that all of this won't be controled by someone. You are not living in the real world. Just the statment that Jacque Fresco his self said. The inter structure and system would have to be changed and adjusted according to need. Who's need? Could be the general public, OR the controler of it.

  • your right, he's not living in the real world. the real world is an insane place we all slave away in while funding the military industrial complex that leads us all to global destruction. i hope he never lives in the real world.

  • OMG you suck stay on Jacque, I can't hear a damn word he's saying

  • I know, the individual filiming this isn't what I would call "experienced" XD

By the way, that individual wasn't me......

  • haha alright, I just love listening to Jacque, I'm going down to the venus project this summer I can't wait, I'll record it and get all the audio..

  • Cool man can't wait for the recording on youtube! Make sure to ask some really interesting questions.

  • thanks for trying. such a missed opportunity. did he ever answer the question in part 1 or 2 about what to do about the bail out? or the question "how do you know all this?".
