  • @luvtotruck "bricks and mortar" and East Virginia is not exactly the west but I know what you mean.

  • Even in young years Bernie always had a fascination with American old west now since late 70's he has had a sprawling ranch North of the city of the angels

  • my faverite song from this album..... blood and water mix and mortor what great lyrics!!!

  • Let me just refresh your mind. Your manners boy seem hard to find. Fucking Bernie, eh? Outstanding.

  • my brother who is nine years older gave this to me for christmas 40 years ago..he turned me on to so much brilliant music back then.

  • lets all quote the song!

  • @campbellraiders I know right >.>

  • The first time I ever heard this, it was a demo or something. No drums, no funky backing band. Just Elton clinking away in a bluesy manner.

  • the greatest ej album.. remember the beginning of dog day afternoon with amorrena blasting from the radios and givin a start n a mood to the whole movie--

  • for me personally, this and madman were his best albums. saw him in concert that year in honolulu... again in '72 in seattle. he and bernie are probably the best team of writers all time, and with gus their sound was at their very best. this carries one of life's lessons to remember, "charity is an argument that only leads to harm''

  • This one is my favorite from Tumbleweed Connection :) Perfect song :)

  • Quite possibly the best Elton John Album. Every song on this is great.

  • I never knew much about Elton John's music before! This is awesome! For some reason I find that some Robbie Williams songs are based on this kind of style. Especialy chorus parts.

    LOVE, PEACE. GL, Hi-5

  • Great stuff that lives forever.

  • "pursuing your convictions like a hermit in a cage"...awesome

  • "Well slowly, Joseph, well he lowered the rifle and he emptied out the shells" ... simply the best.

  • "I'll catch the tramline in the mornin"...

  • wow! listen to this jam! brings back memories
