hey for the steering...formt he steering wheel is that welded on a pipe that is INSIDE of another pipe leding down to the thing at the bottom ? thanks where do live ? ontario
I like it! Not too keen on the make shift seat, I wouldda got the plastic bit of an old school chair and bolted it down or summat, and I was gonna say about the bumper but you added one lol. Nice job!!
ha u fail dude we built one and u deffenitally dont cut frames thats horrible u just dont do that u add brackets and that thing is horrible one day ur going to slam on the breaks and ur disc is going to break and dont say i dont know wat im talking about cuz ive built 3 tractors for pulling and ive built motors and other stuff
dude sweet vid and go kart...ima make a go kart with a 2.5 hp engine off of a push mower lol it'll be fun working on...im so guna use that kind of steering system cuz otherwise i had no clue how to make it turn...thanks man
@ElCaPiTaNelalelu this thing has at least 50 hours of hard riding in feilds and on gravels roads and in snow and not one weld has broke or bent. the welds might not look pretty but they are as strong as can be
pretty good dude, if i was you, i would weld a bumper to the front of your frame though...if you ever crash, even if its a small one, your steering is completely totaled. I made my own kart too.
i have to say mate u used some good ideas in that i make buggies and karts aswell at the moment im making a gsxr1100 buggy with independant suspensional al round it looks alot like a rage buggy, but i can see u know wat ur doin with the fabrication side of things so wel done mate mail me if u want to ask advice or watever
@THEJBUDS I have $500 buget to built my go kart and if yours was $400 thats pretty sick can you give me a list of the parts you bought and the places you bought them. and what kind of welder did you use. thnx:)
ok ur not very smart for one im a sheet metal fabricator the cable didnt work cous u didnt tinker with it to get the strenght to lenght ratio right i dont hate on ppl just cant stand ppl with no commen sense
Sounds like a pretty shitty job and i did tinker with it if you knew anything you would no a 2 foot handle gives you more leverage than a little foot peddle you obviously fell on your head as a baby if you think that and to be honest i would rather have a hand break its funner to use than a shitty ass foot pedal
ur not very enginuative why dont u run a cable from the brake mount to the peddle so u have brake peddle and i dont balieve u about the speed it proly goes 15 miles and hour no more prove me wrong
Ok well just so you know i tried the brake with a cable going to the peddle and the brake did not have nearly as much stopping power. Secondly the cart does go that fast and i am eventually gonna post a video to prove it. and lastly do not hate on peoples videos when you obviously just sit at home on visual basic you faggot. Also i do not even care if you don't even care if you dont belive me because the truth is the truth
Hey i am almost done my kart, Frame engine rebuild, but am wonder did you buy those tires from PA. I looked in thier flyer but couldent find any with a one inch bore? thanks
yes i did buy them from PA but they are a pain to get on. you have do get a 1 inch bore busing and then take the bearings out of the tires and slide the bushing in. the slide the tire on the axel and put a bolt throught the bushing rim and axle
pretty nice project but tilting the wheels really don't help it is the caster degree which is the kingpin angle further back on the top it will want to run straight i would think around 5 degrees would be good keep the wheels {caster} a little more straight and toe in a 1/16 great job!
nice video. i was planning a making a go kart but there was only one thing i didnt know how to do. i am wondering how you mounted your back sproket to your axel?
I bought a one inch bore sprocket hub i slid that onto the axel then put the sproket on the hub welded it secure and tightened the hub screws onto the axel watch my first vid it might help
yes it does if the bar is up wards it must be set up the way i did it if the bar is down wards and you set everything else the same as me your steering will be backwards
Nice update. I have that exact same engine I'm going to put on a kart. Your videos help a lot. Do you weld in your garage with the door shut? I know it's really cold up there now. Also - once it's nice enough to take it out - can you share an update of it running, and what you may need to adjust after testing?
My uncle didn't have a gold steering wheel for me. Can I talk to your uncle........
