Wow. Calvin Johnson = "massive lack of talent." I'm amazed. Since you don't know: Calvin Johnson, founder of seminal indie-pop band Beat Happening and the record label K, is widely considered one of the most important and influential artists in underground music. His aesthetic is DIY, or "do-it yourself," and, despite his off-key voice, he started Beat Happening with friends who did not know how to play instruments, and created some of the most original and pretty pop ever!
A good place to start for those interested in Beat Happening is of course You Tube or I-Tunes. For serious collectors, SUB POP records issued a beautiful box set with all five studio records, a seperate disc with singles and raritis, a DVD with videos and live perfomances, and a booklet with great oral histories and pictures. Other Calvin Johnson projects include (of course) Halo Benders with Doug and Steve Albini, and the funk danceband Dub Narcotic Sound System.
...which goes to prove my point, although I should have written "lack of talent for singing", I do not doubt that he is a great organizer, makes superb coffe or whatever else he might do better than sing. If you can stand it then good for you. YMMV...
Get yer amalgam fillings out now cus' the ADA is recently disallowing it. if you got more than 3 for sure! their not Ag but mercury & you can see constant fumes. I had 3 when this song came out but no more!
