It's a simple consession; an emotional appeal with deep psychological triggers.
Works better than complaining about the historical accuracy of the name; as we know, the story of Jesus isn't really historically accurate at all.

I mean if Hitler were American, he would have been praised as a hero. Elected president three times, atleast. And made us greater than we were.

RowanFortuneWood annoyed me in this video. I agree with what he said, but he was reading off the screen and was purposely trying to sound intelligent without talking normally.
In addition, most religious people are not intelligent to under stand what he was saying so its ineffective anyway.

However, I can assure you I wasn't just being pretentious; meta-ethics has its own technical language and it has a purpose. Also, I wouldn't say most religious people are unintelligent; I have had many highly productive and intellectually rewarding conversations with the religious on YT. Generalizations are often what leads to hostility.

Fair enough. Interesting point of view by the way. Usually I tend to lose religious people when I break out the teleological fallacies and/or tautological syntactic metaphysics. They want to believe what they want to believe. So I find its most effective to stick to emotional appeals. Just my method.
