  • There's a reason why this stuff isn't fda approved.

  • @bookguy12000 Its extremely narrow minded bordering on delusion to believe that only things the FDA approve for your use are actually useful, when they approve most drugs pharmaceutical companies can profit on.

  • 3000 years of evidence is enough for me!

  • World Congress on QiGong, Dr Effie Chow, Ca. USA

If you are a seeker read about Medical QiGong !

  • Mix things up, let it flow.

  • absolutely beautiful comments. Its nice to see people appreciate this amazing man and art.

  • @tittiesinabucket Most definately. I love martial arts til I leave this Earth.

  • @baldieman64 --- there's anecdotal evidence for acupuncture at least... it has done amazing things for me... i mean amazing things. it's remedied things that not even a meditation or yoga practice were able to remedy for me, living in the super stressful city of nyc as i do. i encourage you to try it, if you ever get the chance. am excited about starting a qigong practice next!

  • @meninadrc "there's anecdotal evidence for acupuncture at least" Without wishing to sound patronising, personal experience is no basis for an evaluation. The placebo effect and regression to the mean in conditions like back pain are powerful mutually reinforcing effects with something like acupuncture.

Have a look at some of the interesting thoughts and links on Ben Goldacre's site by searching for "acupuncture back pain bad science".

BTW Ever wonder if yoga and meditation caused the problem ?

  • @meninadrc without double blind tests, anecdotal evidence is as convincing as coincidence and should not be marketed or used as evidence for any position otherwise; such would be dishonesty with detrimental consequences in health and mortality to others.

  • @bookguy12000 Also not recommending something that has worked for thousands of years without having relatively new methods of confirmation (double blind tests) needed for health and safety of our society is, stupid. I am not getting into a debate on chi just saying that if things work, use them. Its pretty interesting to see many qi gong adepts reach very old ages whilst moving surer than teenagers.

  • swagg

  • @dcsoulchild3681 haha you made my day with comment like that on this video.

  • I feel like I want to bow down to him for being an authentic Chinese cultural heritage keeper.

  • And there is not a single demonstrable shred of evidence for Chi, Meridians or he efficacy of acupuncture.

Acupuncture is particularly interesting as it's not nearly as old as it's supporters might have you believe. There's a very interesting article on this on-line entitled "Puncturing the Acupuncture Myth".

  • @baldieman64 There is a LOT of scientific evidence. But you dont seem to know about it. What a pitty.:-)

  • You can tell a lot from a man by the way he walks. Master Duan, although 90, has the walk of an incredibly achieved person. He exudes health and radiates power. His Qigong style is beautiful to behold.

  • man you want to talk about my dream lol. i wish i could find a real master thats not only worried about money.. I mean how awsome would it be to just got to the park and learn qi gung!!

  • @ravenzen1 there are plenty here in the states who do this. some charge a very modest fee, some simply accept donations, and some don't take any money at all. most charge a modest fee, but still accept those who can't pay.

teachers like that aren't gonna teach you anything high-level, so it's really not necessary for them to be a bonafide master. it doesn't take an Olympic champion to teach a P.E. class. similarly, it doesn't take a master to teach health maintenance.

  • we really need this guy!

  • that is inspiring and kool to see.

  • Really inspiring!

  • I liked that last shot of Master Duan. The eyes tell it all...a man who builds bridges with other people.

Also, he speaks of chi uniting one in a universe of chaos. Similarly, another great teacher speaks of practitioners of this 'path', "though appearing to wander aimlessly (chaotic), he is absolutely on the correct path".

    Thanks for posting.

  • its nice to see a angel on his work,i wish i could meet him that angel

  • @smooothjasminka Hey there in my opinion angels are names given to people that can do miracles, unfortunately this world is associated with Christianity and the church. Clearly this person is of Asian and of eastern origin. My advice is don’t be like everybody else and want to meet the angel waiting to see miracles, but rather try to be the angel that you speak of yourself.

  • @smooothjasminka Believe and find yourself a good teacher and train hard and learn to meditate it sounds like that cheesy adidas catch phrase but nothing is impossible, open you mind and your heart. Do some research you’ll be surprised that all the great men in history have worked hard to attain the title of 'angel' that you speak of. "From tai chi practitioner"

  • is this from a film or documentary? if yes, which one? Thank you!

  • watch at 2:40

green to electric violet, he must be harnessing earth chi then adding divine energy

  • @muncancer could you please explain what was that ?

  • @muncancer dork

  • Wonderful video
