  • Where do you think Gay people get the majority of their children???

    From FAILED heterosexual parents.

  • The title of this video is a Oxymoron:

Equality & Religion two words that can not go together.

Religion takes the individual and puts the individual into a group, If an individual does not correlate with the group they are a outcast, therefore the devil and so on.

  • The myth is that likes can be married. The myth is also that homos will leave them unmolested; they have already broken the promise when they forced Christian adoption orgs. to place children with queers or close their doors.

  • @skatejohn6 Then why have studies found that the majority of child molesters are heterosexual men? And plenty of xian adoption agencies had to close back in the 1970s when they refused to adopt children to couples of different races. Its call progress and religion doesn't get special treatment any more than state agencies!

  • And as I've said before, it's great to see churches opening up to ALL people, gay or straight, black or white, rich or poor. We're all human beings, we're all worthy of the same rights and the same protections. There is still much hate and homophobia to be overcome but by spreading a message of openess and tolerance these churches are actually showing the way forward in society. I thank them for this, for their positive message.

  • Concerning the first argument: How can somebody have believed this in the first place?

  • LGBT or hetero, we're all the same! Love is love!

  • THANK YOU! Thank you thank you thank you for speaking the truth. For being the voice of sanity. For telling flat out that the claim marriage equality = churches being forced to "perform" gay marriage is plain false and/or disingenuous. For me, it is very, very moving to see people of faith speaking up for marriage equality. People understand that churches can define marriage the way they see it fit. But they should not impose these views on society. Again: I thank you heartily.

  • @Skulander1 - "it is very, very moving to see people of faith speaking up for marriage equality"...let's be clear about this ... the authority of faith is in the revealed will of God NOT in reprobates who call themselves Christians...you see these are the worst sort because they call themselves by the truth and blaspheme it altogether in what they say.

Homosexuality, abortion, fornication, sexual lewdness which is accepted in our society shall be the cause of God's most severe judgement

  • @dhood999 Yeah... I've noticed that your bunch tends to be very picky about who gets to be called a Christian, and who is not worthy of that name... Whatever. It's sad to see so much homophobia and hate on the back of religions. But it's hearwarming to see that there are true Christians standing up for the rights of ALL individuals. Besides, we are not a theocracy. Some of us just don't believe in a little man in the sky. There's no reason why YOUR view should be the only one around.

  • @Skulander1 -It is not a matter of hate but rather one of love. It is not loving to tell those under a curse and living in depravity under the vilest of bondages that things are a ok..how would you like it if you were dying from cancer and the doctor who didn't want to 'hate' you said things are just great and you having nothing to worry about. The doctor would be a monster. Homosexuality is a severe type of enslavement and people need the truth to escape otherwise their own sin will damn them

  • @dhood999 Yeah... I'm not sure if you understand the amount of BS that is in this reply. I'm supposed to gobble up your garbage about homosexuality being a form of enslavement? I mean, are you serious? I'm trying to figure out if you really mean what you just wrote, or if you're one of those individuals who need mental help. Either way, I'm not going to be the one spending any more time refuting your lies. I don't have time for haters.

  • @Skulander1 - It is better that you realize that you are suffering from an abnormality. Man was not made to be with another man...it is abnormal but the good news is that there is help. God can transform the heart so I urge you to call out to God in these days where wickedness abounds. God is the only answer to change the heart

  • @dhood999 Being gay or lesbian is not an abnormality. Being hateful and homophobic however, is. By the way: there is no God. BUT, provided there is one, she made everyone of us just the way we are. So no, I'm afraid I'm not going to go along with your hateful rhetoric. This time is definitely gone: get over it. You may also chose to move to Iran or Uganda, where they kill gays and lesbians for being who they are. You'll like it there.

  • Protect the sanctity of marriage then, and try to outlaw divorce!!! America needs to wake up and quit living their lives according to a crudely misinterpreted version of God's wishes. God loves all and DOES NOT discriminate.

  • @9203Bella - Then can you tell me why there is a Hell...american is suffering a great assult by the invasion of Hippy ideology...it has been blind and accepting of sin....we are all sinners and we ALL need help ... the help comes from God who commands us to repent from our wicked ways and come to Christ who alone can save.

  • This is exactly why women and cowards should not be allowed to be ministers...the only ministers they are are those of Satan himself

  • @dhood999 Did you even listen to what they said?

  • @Perscriptions - yes i listened...what's your question?

  • @dhood999 What did the people in this video say? How was the experience with marriage equality?

  • @Perscriptions - you can get quite a few people to say things favorable to same-sex marriage, however it does not matter what they say. The only authority worth consulting is the word of God. Please that suffer from this form of wickedness need to cry out mightily to God to save them that they may enter into a normal heterosexual relationship.

  • @dhood999 And what if you don't believe in god. Neither the Christian god nor the one of any other religion?

  • @Perscriptions - If you don't believe in the God of the Bible (the ONLY true and living God) then you will suffer from a reprobate mind. It will be given over to vanity and held under the bondage of corruption. God who created all things and is infinite in His wisdom, is the only source of what we should believe. If we depart from God's way we walk a path of destruction.

  • @dhood999 I see. Are you serious? By the way, where are you from?

  • Why do we even care what religion or government thinks about our relationships? Get government out of marriage and we will all be better off. More freedom for everyone. Government free marriage now!

  • @sarah9miller - The government should be involved in the execution of justice for any civilization...a crack cocaine addict may ask why is the police going to arrest me...more freedom for everyone...nonsense....the government should have a vital role in the execution of what a marriage is....is should protect it's sanctity and enforce that a marriage is between a man and a women and render anything else the equivalent of beastiality.

  • @sarah9miller - Individuals suffering the depravity of homosexuality should seek help from this wicked bondage

  • Here online Asian wives Asian wives alone and try to chat her lushfmlk.info

  • @humanistbanana

"Traditional" marriage is the ONLY marriage we have ever known and ever will know. This farce of "gay marriage" started in Europe and the media has been responsible to it spreading like a cancer. BTW, comparing it to heterosexual abuse of marriage is irrelevant.

  • @ma7799 what are you talking about gay marriage has been around as long as marriage it's self. Gay marriage was in ancient rome and greece.

  • @ma7799 You can't come up with any rational argument against gay marriage and how it hurts the marriages of heterosexuals, gay marriage will simply expand the participation and once DOMA is repealed grant federal rights to ALL married couples

  • @humanistbanana

There are no comparisons. You are looking at apples and oranges. Gay marriage has nothing to do with "improving" anything. It is a farce that will pass.

  • @ma7799 gay marriage has to do with improving a couples life together so it wont pass until homosexauls are able to get married

  • @humanistbanana

It has everything to do with gay marriage. Don't steer around it. The activists will use every excuse they can and throw every comparison they can into the argument to try and make gay marriage seem sacred.

  • @ma7799 you have yet to say whats wrong with gay marriage. you just keep saying thats not the definition of marriage or this will all blow over.

  • @humanistbanana

What does same sex marriage have to do with abuses of heterosexual marriage? There has yet to be a connection made to that argument.

  • Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Democratic Party Meltdown....just wait and see......

  • I don't understand the argument "Marriage is a religious institution." No it's not. You are only married at City Hall, the church ceremony is purely a tradition, but it's not legal anyway. It's the law! Hello! Hence, marriage is not tight to religious values, but to the law.

You don't like gay people getting married? Fine, but at least bring me an argument that makes sense (btw, there isn't one, but keep trying) :o)

  • youre disgusting

  • That's all you have to say uh? Sorry your brain is that small. bye

  • @luigicamp69

    yes it is

  • "Gay marriage" is NOT equality, but abuse of marriage!

  • Abuse of marriage? YOU stand for taking away rights of your fellow Americans?

I do believe in our Consitution is clearly says everyone is t have equal rights.

  • "YOU stand for taking away rights of your fellow Americans? "

They already have equal rights, but are trying to make marriage whatever they want so they can feel less stigmatized.

  • No, no they are not. Marriage is a civil right. If you cannot get married and you need health care, you can't get it from your partner. There are plenty of gay couples who have been married now and your trying to take that away from them.

Back in the day different races couldn't get married, and this is pretty much like that. Your 'racist' against gays. Lovely.

  • The separation of church and state prevents the government from interfering with religious organisations, so the government cannot force any religious group to marry any couple for any reason. Orthodox Jews do not marry non-Jews. Catholics do not marry divorced people (or even interfaith couples without a permit from the bishop). All is fine, due to the separation.

I wonder why certain religious organisations think that they can try to dictate who can and cannot marry outside their churches.

  • does anybody know, after Loving v Virginia, were churches allowed to reject interracial marriages too? And if they were, are they still allowed to do today? What about inter-religious marriages?

BTW, im WAYYY marriage equality, I just want to know some facts...

  • Colfax, I don't know about interracial marriages, but I know for sure that churches can refuse to marry people if they're not the same religion. Like, the Catholic church has the legal right not to marry non-Catholics.

  • Wow really? Thats really interesting...

  • Colfax, I guess it's because they're private institutions. They're like private clubs, and the government says that you can discriminate within a private club. That's why the Boy Scouts can exclude gay people and atheists. And it's why churches can refuse to ordain women or refuse to marry people of different faiths.

  • My guess is that pastors will never be required by law to marry any couple because that would violate the principle of separation of church and state.

Where government gets involved in churches is that it sometimes refuses to provide government subsidies if those monies are going to be used for proselytizing, i.e. evangelizing, i.e. attempting to convert people to the religion or denomination of the particular church.

  • @Colfaxdruggie

Churches can accept and reject any marriage they want. That was the logic used in Canada when the Civil Marriage Act was passed in 2005. I don't know that they did back then, because it was a Jim Crow law, but other than that, I think they could.

  • one's sexual orientation has nothing to do with one's religion. nobody follows the bible strictly. what the bible tells us are some important social behaviour rules, nothing more. so why would a gay marriage affect religion?

  • Massachusetts ...... what does re-electing a guy who killed a girl, because he was acting stupidly. a partisan hack, who could not care less about the USA. a bloated drunk who we are witnessing commit slow suicide, through his alcoholism, etc., etc...... just what does it say about the majority of the people who live and vote in massachusetts!? IT TELLS ME THAT THESE ARE IMBECILES PEOPLE, RIDICULOUS, OUTRAGEOUS,PEOPLE.... dumb, dumb, dumb.....

  • or open minded and willing to give another guy a chance

  • geeze!

arrowlampwaysong com makes more sense to me.

    "Were God is headed?"

  • How do you know what god has told, when clearly there is nothing called god.

Gayness is unnatural and that is something human is trying to against nature.

There is nothing called Religion that is dumb shit.

Humans are afraid that if the gay community grows there is a threat to the human race.

Monogamy is unnatural and so i marriage.

Be what you like to be Gay, straight ...

  • How about the rights of churches who WANT to legally marry their gay and lesbians members? No church has ever been forced to marry any couple, but why deny the right to churches to marry based on sexual orientation?

  • Lets all jum in and Consecration all kinds of sin . Give up your religious convitions . LEt he with no sin toss the first stone. Except I dont remember throwing any stones.

  • I cant believe their are christians who accept this kind of stuff. Your all so open minded Im sure god will allow for that in the end. Least I hope he will. They make it sound so okay. Dont they yes lets conces

  • Catholics, Muslims, and Christians believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I agree...in THEIR RELIGIONS, it should remain that way. HOWEVER, my partner and I want a CIVIL marriage. And we should be given that right.

  • Are you trying to compare two consenting adults wanting to married with beastiality and child molestation? They are two adults and they should be able to marry...children cannot consent to marriage and animals cannot consent to marriage...

  • Straw man argument, not relevant.

  • Being homophobic is being intolerant.

But does being intolerant of intolerance, make one intolerant?

  • No.

  • It's a double-negative. Negative and negative make positive. Being intolerant of said intolerance translates as tolerance of whatever was initially receiving the intolerance. It's a good thing.

  • Tolerance doesn't mean acceptance.

It means letting other people live their own lives in a free country.

There is something better than tolerance, and that's acceptance. And there's something even better than acceptance, and that's treating people decently and being polite.

And there's something even better than being polite:

    everybody getting along.

Hate is not the answer. It's the problem.

  • True but...Tolerance, acceptance, kindness, and getting along all work both ways.

There is plenty of hate on both sides to go around.

One mans ceiling is another mans floor...

  • I love the way that some people love to deflect from the truth by claiming that it was only the religious are responsible for same sex marriage being shot down at the polls in California, TWICE. Liberal Blacks and Hispanics helped vote it down. Obama "marriage should be between a man and a woman."

It is nearly impossible to engage in a rational discussion with gay marriage supporters without being called a bigot. They show no tolerance for different opinions.

    Watch the lawsuits fly!

  • What opinons? Opponents tend to only back up their argument with straight-up lies or shit that they honestly have no clue about!

We have ACTUAL FACTS on our side. Not opinons.

  • What have you got, a mouse in your pocket?

  • How does that even make sense?

  • However, Obama, also said, "he was against prop. 8."

  • Wait...so, "Liberal Blacks and Hispanics" are a distinct group, completely separate from "the religious"? Um...last I checked, there are a ton of (usually Protestant) Christian black people, and a ton of (usually Catholic) Christian Hispanic people...

I don't say someone is a bigot because they believe marriage is between a man and a woman, nor when they're against SSM. But I do get blacklisted as a "liberal homo-lover" when I say that SSM is a matter of civil rights. Interesting.

  • Oh, and by the way:

Some people believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. That's their right, and I respect their beliefs.

Some people believe that same-sex couples should not be allowed to obtain a civil marriage (like every straight couple can), and play politics in an attempt to keep same-sex couples from having the same rights as their heterosexual countrymen. This is discrimination.

There is no rational, non-discriminatory reason to prevent gays from getting civil marriages.

  • nickybadboy50,

I am ENTIRELY tolerant of homophobic people. I allow them to marry. I don't taunt them as they walk down the street. I would never in a hundred million years beat them with baseball bats. And I don't hate them.

    I disagree with them.

And yet, because this is a free country, I'm not going to use government to prevent them from being wrong.

I do want to save their souls, however, so, when they express hate, I say, 'Don't hate.'

    How am I intolerant?

  • The homophobes are the ones who are being intolerant. Isn't that sort of true, by definition?

  • The sky has not fallen. Let people marry--regardless of gender.

  • Is it new or have the Christians taken on that good 'ol victim role once again? You're forcing your lifestyle down my throat, perverts, pedophiles, homos."I don't wanna change" wah wah wah...and I want change. Either give us equal rights as put forth in the Constitution, figure out how to separate out the extra $ we pay for those wonderful federal benefits that we pay to but can't have. Adam you sound ridiculous at this stage name calling, you sound desperate.

  • I wish I editing/deleting power for the comments on this page. I don't believe in free speech for homophobes.

  • I am not all knowing! But this I jsut know, in my heart, gut, and soul. Those versions are so wrong. Also just cause you can't hack it, don't resort to childish tactics like pointing out flaws in my spelling to divert from the issue. I can see right through it, you, and your religion.

  • The spelling comment wasn't directed towards you.

But I know in my heart, gut, and soul that I am right.

Lab? How about real world? Mutations aren't evolution. Seems to me evolution is your religion. You are putting faith in something you are sure off, but can't totally prove. You can't actually see evolution, becuase it takes so long to happen. You have faith in the unseen.

  • A4C80 - it's clear something is very lacking in your life and you have replaced that gaping hole with religious fundamentalism. When you emerge from that, which I hope you will, perhaps then it will be possible to have constructive conversations with you. Until then you will continue to ignore logic in favor of religious fundamentalism thereby continuing to discredit yourself as a person capable of engaging in reality-based debates.

  • Adam,

'Love Thy Neighbor' IS a Christian point of view. Hating gay men is a sin. Harassing gay men is a sin. Loving gay men is the Christian point of view. Christians believe that a gay Christian man loving a gay Christian man and marrying a gay Christian man is a fulfillment of the Christian belief that love is the core of Christianity and the essence of God Himself.

    Stop hating.

  • Allow pastors to marry couples within their congregations regardless of gender, regardless of orientation.

Religious freedom means allowing homophobic pastors to marry homophobic couples and allowing non-homophobic pastors to marry the couples that they believe should be married.

In order to get Prop 8 passed in California, supporters of Prop 8 had to LIE to their own supporters!

    What does that say?

  • You are right! They lied through their teeth. However, my issue is with prop 8 supporting Christians who have gay family members. Many of them knew they were lying intentionally and still supported without doing anything to address those lies.

  • LOL! MUTATION IS EVOLUTION!! That is all evolution is, natural SELECTIVE mutation! Its a proven law and fact, we explain the laws of math and science with theories! Thus, Evolutionary Theory, Gravitational Theory etc, etc. Move beyond the box religions and society puts of your soul, mind, and pereptions. think out side the box. LOL! Free your mind!

  • Oh but Christ has freed my mind.

Gravity is not theory. Evolution is. Actually it's just a fairy tale.

Can something come from nothing? How did the order of this universe come from Chaos?

Everything has a creator. The cloths we wear, the cars we drive, the computers we work on. Our bodies and minds are much more complex that any of these and you think by chance we came into being? The order of the universe is do precise there is no way possible it happened by chance.

  • Pay Attention! We explain and understand the Laws of math and science with Theories! Gravity is no longer just a theory, but neither is evolution. And when we expalin these things we call them Gravitational Theory, and Evolutionary Theory! Get it nitwit! I never said either was just a theory. Also evolution is not the theory of the origins of life/universe. That is called the theory of Abiogenisis, and it is only a theory not a law like gravity and evolution. Get over and lean, idiot! God Damn!

  • Correction* Get over it and learn, idiot! God Damn!

  • Take it easy man! LOL get your panties out of your crack. I understand what theories, laws, and facts mean in science. But evolution is not truth nor reality.

I also know what the theory of Abiogenisis is and the theory of evolution is tied to it. I was simply wanting you to answer those questions.

  • I am not goin to even dignifty that with more than this single answer. You are wrong and do not know what you are talking about so I suggest you get educated on it, from other sources then religiously motivated ones.

  • evolution is real

now if you want a fairy tale look in the bible its the biggest one out there

  • ahhh good i was wondering about how they'd do the laws. I have heard that claim many times around where i live

  • This is an awsome video. This is the truth unlike the stupid religous people who spout their own hate against this. No one is FORCED to marry anyone. Canada has had equal rights for a few years now and geuss what. WE ARE STILL HERE, no rath of "god". lol oh ya thats right, HE DOESNT EXIST :-)

  • How do youy know he doesn't? Are you all knowing?

  • When I was in college, I learned that some clergy preached against the recently invented artificial refrigeration in the early 20th century as the inspirations of the devil and artificial refrigeration must be banned or boycotted. Now we know refrigeration saves lives, saves food and money and promoted general health and welfare.

  • Why is there a New Testament and an Old one? Why not book 1 and book 2? You mean GOD became more lienient in His punishments as time progressed? No more death for most sins? Forgiveness? The influence of younger JC? Or just that the interpretations of the old were to harsh and wouldn't serve most "men" (since they were the interpreters) in their self indulgence. The bible re-interpreted with females doing the interpretations with token male input would be a totally different read.

  • Adam, I admire and RESPECT anothers point of view, even when it differs from mine. I think what impacts me in this whole thing and reading your responses which are pretty typical "Christian" responses is that your church teachings sound like those that one would experience in corporate America while they are fighting for their bottom line, and power. When the company is being run by dinosaurs with antiquated thinking. God is more modern than you give Him credit for.

  • I see you are one of these liberals that hates corporate America. The very corporate America that has given you this outlet to discuss your world view. The very same corporate America that invented the car so you could have a convienient life.

  • carl benz invented the car, pick up a histyory book. Are all religious ppl as ignorant as yourself in the united sdtates of america?

  • calling me ignorant and can't even spell correctly?

  • I may not have spelled the words correctly but my thoughts were well articulated. English is my second language.

  • This IS an amazing video! So simply explained and stated in a non-threatening manner by persons who speak clearly and truthfully. I just really don't "get it" the fierce, fear based opposition to same-sex marriage by all those "good Christians" like Adam..."me thinkth thou' doust protest to much". Fear based, that their true face of "Christianity" will show thru?

The purpose of a womans sexual organs don't support sex with another woman!? How would you know Adam?

  • Spread the truth!

  • wonferful video. I love how they disprove myth 3, that marriage as we know it will be destroyed if you allow gay marriage. thats the most rediculous think I have ever heard and its nice to see some people of the church say differently!

  • Jesus mentioned nothing about homosexuality. Rather, he frequently spoke of standing up for JUSTICE and advocating for those society has scorned. If only more Christians had a clue about their own religion. This the United States of America, not the United States of Christianity. As such, there is no grounds AT ALL on which to deny gay couples access to civil marriage laws. Leave the bigotry and discrimination to the local churches.

  • Matthew 19:4-6 Jesus speaking on MARRIAGE!

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Anything about man marrying man? Or woman marrying woman? NO!

  • That is sucha weak argument Adam! LOL! Now if it said this is the only way it can be, and if it said this is not for the gays, or is not holy if gays do it, then you'd have a point! The lack of anything being mentioned about homosexualt marrying works in our favor! I mean he didn't say anything about different cultures/races marrying so we are to infer that they can't! What an perfectly ignorant and stupid arguement that reflects the stupidity of the religion. LOL!

  • HAHA LOL! Jesus never said anything about people having sex with animals so I guess thats o.k. too? What I am saying is that when Jesus talked about marriage, which he did several times, he only mentioned man and woman. see how stupid your argument sounds..

  • LOL! How is there a corralation between bestiality and homosexuality. You obviously have no comprehension of it. And just so you know old testament version in hebrew "toeva" is translated as abimnation, it literally mens idolotrous ritual. And even if it didn't old testament also says that its okay to kill disobedient children, cheating wifes, daughters of preists that have sex, and menstration and shell fish are considered abomination too. So jack ass! Why are you not bitchin about them!

  • Why am I not complaining about those? Well for one reason none of those are trying to push their lifestlye down my throat. Say that if I disagree with them I am hateful or a phobic.

Your the one that is making a corralation between bestiality and homosexuality. All I said was Jesus didn't mention that either. There is alot of things Christ did mention specifically that are still wrong.

  • LOL! Whatever0_o! I hope your disillusioment wont be to mind blowing for you when it comes. No one is forcing anyones life style down anyones throat, we are forcing you all to see your view is wrong, your religion is wrong(as science proves more and more) and that the world is evolving, changing, and you can either join it or be drowned by its tide.

  • How does science prove it? can you show me proof of evolution? Can you show proof of any fossil records where it shows the bridge between one organism to another? Actually, the chances of evolution ever happening are far greater than the chances of a supreme being.

  • Yes i can show you proof! Enoguh proof to say that its real, even though we do not know all the mechanics of it. We have fossils, and living animals, and genetic proof in our genes. Watch this youtube video, its three parts and the title is- Irrefutable Proof of Evolution- Part 1 (mtDNA, ERVs, Fusion). Research the proof in fossils. And there are living transitional organism. Micro evolution is a Fact we have seen it in a lab! Micro+Macro! Black+White, Up+Down- one is never with out the other

  • Oh my fucking god. Look up that shit. there is proof every where. There are a shit load of fossils showing the different stages from species to species.

  • A4C80 - thank you, you just demonstrated my point for me, without your realizing it! That's right, Jesus didn't discuss homosexuality because Jesus wasn't a bigot like so many bible-thumping people in America!

  • Jesus, in response as to whether or not paying taxes to Caesar was acceptable, given that it was Caesar's image on the coins:

Matthew 22:21 - Then he said to them, "Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."

Sounds like Jesus was quite OK with civil institutions that were different from religious institutions.

  • a fictional book written by man speaks of it

    not some fictional creature

  • My wondering; Since there are over 1,000 benefits enjoyed by hetrosexual couples that we do not have the same opportuinity to enjoy. Why do we have to pay for them with our taxes? I don't want to pay out for something that is not offered to me and whats more is I am labeled as pervert, a pedeophile, sick, devilish by those I contribute to! Equality for all...even the Christians, you can still live here, we'll LET you, because we ARE good Christians.

  • I've always found ironic that some institutions who beneficiate of tax exemption (which means our due) treat the rest of the society as if it were scumbags. The main reason why religions receive tax exemptions is so they don't take part in political matter... wait, they still do... okay, then cut the tax exemptions.

  • Adam, mostly for you...since you're brave enough to defend your ignorant propaganda puishing religious zealots.

Really now...you "Chjristians" have picked apart the bible w-a-y to much to pick and choose which parts you follow and use to beat up others or to promote the Corporate Christianity base? If you just follow your faith (quietly) fear will leave...fear and faith cannot co-exist, so which are you in? Do you have faith that GOD knows what He's doing?

  • Me pushing propoganda? What do you thik this video is?

Why are you telling me how to be a christian when you aren't one yourself and obviuosly don't know much if anything about the bible.

I am not commanded to follow my faith quietly, and I am not fearful. I have complete faith that God knows what he is doing. It's already written.

No you are the ones who like to pick and choose parts of the bible. You like to talk about parts on love, but reject parts on judgment.

  • This video is to let people know that nothing bad will happen when gay marriage is legalized in the CIVIL sense.

BTW, all religion is rooted in fear, specifically that of death/mortality. People need to have the reassurance that they will love on after their body dies.

The Bible says a lot, and not very clearly. I suggest you see For the Bible Tells Me So for a better understanding.

  • You couldn't be more right about fear. I fear God and I fear that If I fail to keep his law I will be lost for eternity.

As far as the clearity of the bible, that is just you opinion. Of course you are not going to see it all clearly since you are not a christian, espically many of the new testament writting.

To me legalization of gay marriage as bad. Can you promise me in the future: what is stated in the video will remain? Will Churches be free to speak against homosexuality?

  • Then apply these religious laws to yourself and your religious community. The states have never request that churches marry divorcees, and a whole lot of them don't, therefore it won't be mandatory for them to marry gay people if they don't want to. Your religion, your rules. But our society, society's rules.

  • This is a wonderful video. People need to see this. I don't think anyone is thinking when they say "Gay marriage will be forced on religion." Religious denominations can refuse to remarry divorced or widowed people. They can refuse to make women clergy members obviously even though we have vast protections for gender discrimination in this country. It's an absurd notion. Thank you for creating this.

  • Well... actually lots of people are thinking that gay marriage will be forced on religion.

  • I understand. That doesn't mean they're right. There's fear but it isn't founded. I stand by your religion's right to do whatever the hell it wants with marriage. The 'separation of church and states' argument goes both ways. Church can't push legislation and legislation can't push church. Unless we amend the constitution, there is no way you're going to get the gov't intervening in marriage. I swear on my grandfather's grave I'll be out there protesting with you if such a thing happens

  • Yes, bearchewtoy75. That's marketing propaganda, just like the one about the "magic ball" that was supposed to clean your clothes without any detergent. It didn't work and has been debunked many times by as many scientists, though people still bought the stupid ball, believed it worked and thought their clothes were still dirty. They even thought they didn't smell...

  • I'm told the Sham-Wow works pretty well though.

  • I wouldn't know. But here's not the point. Because the ads tells you how wonderful the product is doesn't mean thet it is indeed wonderful. It means that the company wants you to buy it, so it tells the consumers that the product is wonderful. It pays people, usually actors, to say what they want to say. The NOM has done exactly that. Doesn't mean they're right. For the Sham-Wow, I'll check a consumers' review so to know if it works. But people who watch ads don't always check the peer reviews.

  • See my video about the Gather Storm ad... watch?v=CeEluIbW9T4

I'll admit it's a little wordy, but it does bring up the half-truths they tell in their ad.

  • I'm gonna check it right away. See you there.

  • Sorry, glitch

...and thought their clothes weren't dirty anymore.

  • Thanks for making this. One suggestion: make a 30-second "digest" version. Six minutes is pretty long for a web video.

  • Although it my be true that there is no provision in this law that forces ministers and clergy to perform marriage for homos, it will be a provision in future hate crime laws. Under those laws ministers and congregations who speak out or refuse two homos from marrying will lose tax exempt status and may even face criminal charges. Christians persecution is coming, but look up for our redemption draweth nigh.

  • Freedom of religion, my friend. You're silly if you think those words will ever change, especially since Christians make up most of the US. The church can deny couples whatever they want. And what gay couple would want to be married in a church that had to be forced to marry them? I certainly wouldn't. You can't legislate away attitudes.

  • do you not know that any treaty with the UN trumps US law? They are constantly pushing for international laws that would prosecute anyone speaking against homos. Fortunately, in the past the US has stood against this, but with the Obama Admin. I don't look for them to stand against this.

  • That's contradicting freedom of speech: is a fundamental right laid out in the UN's Declaration of Human Rights, something it cannot break. It hasn't happened for blacks, it won't happen for gays. They are looking at making an int'l law that would call on countries to stop making homosexual sex a crime, nothing more. Even this has not been able to pass due to pressure from the middle east. Kids have been executed in Iran. If you don't encourage such a law to prevent this, I question your morals.

  • I do not encourage that at all. It is wrong. Contrary to the lies you have heard true Christians do not hate homos, nor do we advocate violence against them. But I am still of the opinion that in the future churches will be forced to allow gay marriage ceremonies, especially if liberal judges continue to legislate from the bench. So tell your judges to stop legislating against me.

  • OH, yeah I feel the love every time you say homo and queer!

Churches cannot be forced by the government to do anything!

    Separation of church and state.

    It's that simple.

  • Thank you for not supporting that violence. I know true Christians don't hate gays. Many of them are my friends. Your calling me a 'pervert' and lowering me to the status of an animal is hate speech though and it often encourages violence. Please be mindful of your words. If anyone does legislate against you, as I said before, I will tell them to stop, because it's not ok from any angle. But at present I am the one being legislated against.

  • Sorry I offended you. Being a good christian in not accepting ones perversion, but warning of the eternal dangers of it. If I love someone I will warn them. Jesus called people names too, he told the pharasees exactly what they were. I am saying that homosexuality goes against natural sexual practices. In other words a woman's sexual organs are not intended for sexual intercourse with another woman same is for man on man. Now if that offends you, then nature itself does.

  • It's a lot more then just nature. It's also biological.

  • "against natural sexual practices."

Wearing clothes is also not natural. Driving cars too. Building houses also. The computer you use to type here is not natural either. So using any of them is not natural. We are an evolved species. Many other species have homosexual interactions, so that makes homosexual acts closer to nature than you wearing clothes and using your computer will ever be.

  • Adam4Christ80, I understand your concern. Though don't forget that ever since there have been divorces in our institutions, no church has been mandatory to remarry divorcees, even though divorce is a civil right just as much as marriage. It didn't affect churches at all. Sure, some churches accept to remarry divorcees, on their own terms. The catholic church refuses to do so and nobody has forced it to marry anybody it had judged didn't fit the church's beliefs.

  • When I was a kid, our pastor refused to marry interracial couples (this was the 90s!)

In addition to refusing to marry divorcees, he also refused to marry anyone who wasn't Lutheran or people who were previously living "in sin"

All of this would still be legal today!

  • "All of this would still be legal today!"

I agree. There was the same religious propaganda back in the 60's against interracial marriages. No religion today is mandatory to marry interracial couples, just as much as they are not mandatory to marry divorcees, so their claim about being forced to marry gay couples is irrelevant.

  • How do you know about future hate crime laws if they're in the future?

  • Because hate crimes legislation protecting women did not force anyone to ordain female ministers. Doing so for either women or gays would be unconstitutional and the constitution>laws. An amendment is another thing but it would have to be altering the 1st amendment- freedom of religion. And that would be insane and you'd have me out there championing against it with you. I'm pretty darn sure it would be against the Int'l Declaration of Human Rights too although I'm not solid on that.

  • Whoa... I'm on your side....

I was just saying that many many people are under the impression that when gay marriage is legal it's going to force churches into things they don't want to do.

Same thing with the new hate crimes bill.

  • Sorry if I came off as hostile, I swear I try not to! Yeah, I know a lot of people do think that. That's why this video's so important I think. Education. And sorry for making assumptions. I just assumed you were one of those respectful people against gay marriage.

  • No problem.

I just don't understand how people who consider themselves christian can lie to other christians about how all these horrible terrible things will happen if civil marriage for gays is legal.

  • I don't understand it either. People will do amazing things when fearful of the new.

  • Not a lie my friend. It is already happening. Your the one who satan is using to decieve people.

  • I don't know if you were replying to bearchewtoy75 or me but I feel like I can speak for us both. We're not that important that we're being used by Satan, even if I believed he existed. Your afraid, and I get that, but listen to logic and your fear will disappear. In the mean time, tell your representative to stop legislating against me.

  • Logical? How do two queers procreate? Logical? Acting worse then animals and you call it logic. Pervert.

There is no way I am telling Rep. Broun to stop. I Thank God for men like him.

  • So, are you saying that the only purpose for marriage is to have children? You know as well as I do that you can have children without being married, and people get married all the time who have no intention of having children.

  • You can see your arguments deteriorating into insult. It's the path of a fearful person. And I'm sorry. But you're no 'good' Christian. I know some. And they know how to love their neighbors as they love themselves, while you cling to 6 or 7 ambiguous verses like you're drowning. You give them a bad name. And I'm no pervert. I know that. Your insults do me no harm.
