This was fantastic. I am a huge fan of Bach and baroque counterpoint. The only thing wrong with this piece is that it ended too quickly lol. I could listen to 30 pages of that and not get tired of it. Marvelous work!
WOW!!!! Absolutely incredible. It may not be Bach but it sure as hell sounds like the master would certainly appreciate your efforts. Incredible - please share more with us, you are a genius.
I have just watched your video(SULIT Sonata I - Of Angels And Cherubs), in my humble opinion i consider this excellent and meaningful work. I sincerely hope you continue to write in the forms of the grate masters and look forward to hearing more work you have created in the future.
To some people these forms are nothing but crusty old prison chambers to be compared to "bach" ,to others (me included) it is the abslolte apex of musical pourpose and when fresh compositoins are made we feel blissfully reconnected to the art and philosophy of times gone buy.
It would be funny if you illustrated the supertonic by putting a miniature cape on the bottle, although I don't know if the cape would be immediately recognizable as what it's supposed to be without your first specifically elucidating your intentions for it to the audience. Anyhow, I enjoyed both your piece and your jokes.
There are some fugal elements, being the 2-part counterpoint, akin to Inventions. But like Bach's trio sonatas, the theme is not introduced in the pedals to make it a 3-or more part fugue, and the overall form is primarily Sonata, although there are five or more independent voices moving at different times. Rather, the bass has ostinato throughout (not shown here but on the new organ score now available--write me), like jazz bass. Separately, I do have some beatiful Fugues in progress.
it reminded me lot of the early mendelsohn fugues, the ending of the fugal piece is very north german style(early bach organ works eg).great short piece
I do have "tons" of piano, ha ha. My "answers" to Chopin, who also was influenced by Bach, such as my Waltz in F# and other emerging Etudes, which have some elements of baroque (broke) counterpoint and the romantic. I can't help it. Has to be that way. Or else I'll be bored & uninspired.
I'm not familiar w the brandenburg movements. This one comes from within, but definitely with Bach orgel werks as a mental I mean mentat I mean mentor. Like the iconographers, who led meditative as well as artistic lives, the ego submits to restraint that makes it liturgical, as opposed to just concertizing. Invisible airwaves, crackle with Light, Bright Antennas, bristle with the Energy.
