  • I Love You Howard Jones ! Saw u in Ohio a couple years ago ! Love You !

  • Found this song by typing in "Whoa oh whoa oh oh whoa 80's" in Google.

  • @chitalker me too lmfao

  • British pop invasion of the 80's was the finest influx of mood, sound, and fashion. So many bands, so many unique sounds...would be impossible to duplicate...I miss listening to the radio...it's a nostalgic time that can never be repeated or replaced.

  • @80swerethebest I <3 Radio is pretty cool... They have more music than Pandora and you can create a station that plays 80's tunes... Out here, where I live, there is a radio station that plays 70's and 80's tunes, which is pretty cool, but, like most stations, you keep hearing the same tunes played over and over.

  • Ahhh, the "Synthesizer Guru" himself, I remember this when this came out in '85, even though I was only 6 yrs old at that point in time! :)

  • i love new wave British pop - product of the 80's

  • This could've been Joey's theme song if they'd made a spin off of Blossom.

  • yeah cool 80s

  • Why... does he remind me of Billy the Exterminator?

  • I'm a fetus and I still listen to Howard Jones

  • John Howard hit #5 in Billboard, 6-15-85. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • Him and joe jackson annoy the living fuck out of me.

  • 80s = soul of music

  • What a tune. This song was featured on the last ever Top of the Pops album.

  • nothing beats the 80's best ever in music history:)

  • That's IT!!! I Am Growing MY Hair Out!!!!

(By the way, he looks like the guy that played on "Full House")

  • cut,it, out haha

  • That's what I've thought too! lol...Dave Coulier.

  • I haven't a clue who Brad f/ home improvement is but I loved (and still love) the way guys did their hair-since we are on the topic of hair opposed to music. Us girls...another story. Crimping-not too cute LOL. Takes a confident man to have hair like that and rock black eyeliner. Great times!

    Fucking brilliiant song.

    LOL LOL at MATTBLACK. classic!!

  • google image seach: brad home improvement

its the 4th picture on the right

  • his hairdo reminds be of brad from home improvement

  • haha yeah

  • Epic hair is epic.

  • What ever happened to him? Loved this album.

  • I thought he still had a really devoted following, doing more adult contemporary stuff. Am I wrong? They call him "HoJo", right? (This might sound sarcastic; it isn't. Just fuzzy memory.)

  • Why can't I be as cool as Howard Jones ?

  • Try harder?

  • For starters........I'll bet you don't have the hairdo.......start with THAT ......and....'things can only get better' .

  • oooh geez I remember those hair-days!

  • saw him in concert, late 80's... WONDERFUL!

  • Wonderful video and song. Kind of an upbeat song for all people.

  • u cant fuck with howard jones's chorus'

  • Hell no. :)

  • This is the theme song for my house purge!!

  • This is my favorite Howard Jones song! Awesome song! It will never fade!

  • If you were a musician in the 80s, big ridiculous hair was mandatory- it was in the recording contract!

  • I think it was a reaction to the hippie years. Now bald is the way to go. Look at Obama

    Lmao

  • Think you're correct. longhairs are the new "disgraceful minority." Only change is constant.

  • Best Song!

  • I heard this song the day I was kissed for the first time..

  • then that makes you old : )

  • i was at the beach at 10 pm. u win dude.

  • I LOVE the warmth and postive attitude of Howard Jones' music-so very different from most of today's music!

  • This song from de ¨Young Again¨(Movie) 1986,starring Keanu Reeves!!

  • i loved the 80's, before we had all the nationalism in the uk and the nasty bnp. oh how times change in this sad country.

  • Yeah, today's music just doesn't make much sense, noone really gets into it anymore.

  • i know this song from a test in facebook.. haha

  • omg this is the best chorus ever lol! so catchy!

  • God I love those high notes...

  • how can you sit still when this song is playing!!! great dance song...howie rocks!!!

  • Love this song. When I was a little kid my brothers used to play this all the time.

  • I love his haiirrr:D

    beautiful songg=)

  • This song reminds me of May of 2000 when I was an intern for Howard Stern and the NYC radio station PLJ played this song every 30 minutes. What a good time that was. !! <3

  • what was it like to work with stern? Have alot of goodtimes behind the scenes?

  • Yeah, it's very Thompson Twins isn't it? I still love it.

  • i love this style. i wouldn't care if people started dressing this way again. great song too.

  • Memories.memories,memories

  • i love to listen to this song early in the mornin on the way to work. it's impossible to not sing along! love love love it

  • genius

  • saw him last nite at the hear and now concert in newcastle.BRILLIANT.

  • a classic=)

  • I remember joining the CBS cassette-a-month deal and forgetting to open this album. I dug it all right...

    Mousse! Hair freeze! Woowee!

  • THE 80'S ROCKED!

  • Now that I have time to sit here and watch this video, Howard reminds me of Jim Carey in the movie the mask. The way he dresses in this video and the great hair style.

I love this song. I used to think he said walk, walk, walk. Needless to say I learned y/day it was Wow wow wow oh, wow wow wow oh oh oh oh LOL

  • i can't believe it i finally found this song iwas in high school when this this song came out i loved it .. i've been lookn on line for two weeks trying to find this song could'nt remember the name of it. it was one of those 1 hit wonders great song ....loved the 80's

  • Aw, Howard Jones was not a one-hit wonder! I think he had 3 or four top forty songs (Everlasting Love, No One Is to Blame, Things Can Only Get Better, Life in One Day are the ones that come to mind).

  • In the UK he had far more success! You've forgotten his earlier stuff like What about New Song, What Is Love, and my personal fave Like To Get To Know You Well, He had 10 top 40 hits, 6 of which were top 10's :o)

  • =)

I LOVE Draft by Eric Prydz its a remix of this !

  • Was this Hoawrd's arrangement? Damn it's fine. He's got a great voice. Sounds errily like The Thompson Twins (not that there's anything wrong with THAT!)

  • One of the few musicians who invested his money in things other than coke. Good on ya, Howie.

  • Good stuff.... Man, I miss good music...

  • Wow. Now I feel young. I like it. I'm only 13 and I love 80's music. It's better than everything I hear on the radio.

  • Ha, you sound like I did at age 13 back in the 80's when it came to 60's music. Trouble was there was no You Tube. We had 45 RPM singles or would record music off of the radio by holding a tape recorder next to a stereo or had a boom-box with record-radio option. Talk about basic and crude!

  • Actually, I knew that. One of my friends has tons of them. Unfortunately, she has no way to play them, but she has them.

  • chrisi3741, You can still buy tape-players and record-players, you know. Your friend just needs to look a little harder and shell out some readies.

  • I can't beleive I wanted an eight track when I was a teen. Whataaver happened to them?

  • I have a case of them in the shed hahahahah LOVE IT!

  • Love this song. Good times.

  • super bailable, q buena

  • I loved this song too! I'm 34, grew up with it--and I feel old at the moment.

  • 34 ain´t old man :) As long as you don´t believe you´re old, you´re not old.

  • i absolutely love this song!

i am 15 and all i listen to is 80's music.

    it is my life!

  • yeah i'm 15 too, 80's music kicks everything we have today's ass.

  • its great you kids today can enjoy with what i grew up with 80;s music was def the best there was and everr will be

  • yes it is. 70's and 80's had great music.

  • I have an INXS tshirt just to be ironic.

  • Is he really blond?

  • Probably blonde from a bottle more like! A ggodlooking punk!

  • This is one of the many 80s songs that always cheered me up when life handed me shit back then.

    Always thought he had/has talent.

  • I saw him live in 85. Quite interesting

  • love the 80;s

  • why are you talking words yet saying nothing?

  • BeanangelTreon.......what the fuck are you talking about?!?!?

Take your Marxist, hippie shite, and fuck off - this is about great 80's music, not the fact you got humiliated, and couldn't stand up for yourself.

Keep your ranting to yourself, you fucking nimrod!

  • BeanangelTreon.......is crazy?

  • Mmmmm............it's a possibility, don't you think?

I'm not given to backlash, normally, but when you go to a page looking to find a wee bit of your youth and some great music, and read the posts of like minded people, it really pisses me off when clowns like that voice up. He should be here to enjoy Howard - nothing else!

  • @vcocapt lol

  • Technical note: It might have been both a cop as well as a corrections officer, althought it might just have been a correction officer I refused to dress at the facility after refusing an illegal camping citation

  • lies lies lies

do you think its all kids on in here and no one has done any time inside

do you really want to test your knowledge against mine or would you prefer to piss around some more?

  • It was in an age of innocence, family , unity and with a promise of such a great future.

  • LOVE THIS SONG

    WANT

    NOW

  • the epitome of 80s pop music! great song!!!!

  • synthpop new wave ftw

  • Me another 19 when Howard released these song. What memories for those days!

  • i was 19 and mtv played the shit out of this song.

    good song.

  • I too was 19 and I miss when the M stood for Music not Mundane in MTV

  • This is crazy! I was 19 when this came out also. Lol! Great freakin' year. Partying with my friends all night, had an awesome girlfriend. Good times... good times

  • great song ........only good

  • such innocence in his voice and his lyrics, always pure. Beautiful human being and great producer, Howard Jones.

  • This was very disappointing to me Howard using Trumpets in 1985....I Disgusted it then, after his Synth career in 1984....(Remember Synths and trumpets were not a combination in my eyes). Never are :-( What was he doing then? In fact in 1986....the brass section was gone, and sincethen Howard reminds me to 2009....But where is he now?

  • Love the 80s this song brings back some old summer memories..

  • I LOOOOVE this song

  • I miss the 80s!!!!!

  • This takes me back and makes me sad, despite its message. I used to listen to 80s music with a lot of depression waiting for alt-rock to get here. Go figure. And then there was this guy with his mohawk and his voice and his positive attitude and he mad em sick. Catchy songs though. Life in a Northern Town was good, too.

  • I love this song, it brings back memories from middle school. It's been 24 years, you gotta be kidding me.

  • good times!

  • A song for our current malaise & 401ks

  • hell yes! heard it on the radio this morning, brings back such good memories :P

  • 2 any young folks watching this incase you didn't know 80s music is cool again but personally i've always thought it was cool

  • Howard seemed to have an affinity with all things marcel marso

  • great song

  • Man with the DOO

  • OMG! I have had the chorus of this song stuck in my head for about two weeks, but I couldn't remember the name or who sang it. So glad I finally found it.

  • I love this song it's one of those songs that makes you feel good when you hear it and then when you actually listen to the lyrics makes you feel even better.... things can only get better

  • hehe boy does this bring back memories. I was just a little tyke when this song came out, and I remember the big black Magnavox boombox we had in the kitchen...my mom, who was 26 at the time, loved this song..seeing her dance around the kitchen in skintight stonewashed jeans and a black and pink leopard print top...sure was fun being a literal child of the 80s.

  • Woah, the way you describe your mom there is interesting.. lol Anything you want to come out and say off the record?

  • i think he was trying to make the point in his next sentence. glad you only bothered seeing a sexual connotation? bet you were gonna say you were just joking now ..

  • Exactly. In 1985 I was 5. ;)

  • hehehe your almost 30 :P

  • I love the 80's and im only 10 :)

  • I love the 80s good times i had then now its S H I T.

  • fantastico jones , indimenticabile

  • tiempo q buscaba esta cancion por fis diso mio q gran tema y gran ritmo sin duda alguna unos de los mejores tema del new wave

  • Ohh. What I hated then Howard using trumpets in 1985....Synths and trumpets don't compose, but now 2009 it is OK ;-)

  • This song is such a catchy pop tune! And Man, Howard is so deliciously hot! XXX

  • classic... love it

  • still love the howard jones stuff:-)laura lynn

  • even tho im a headbanger, i still love 80's pop

  • this is killer shit

  • This can only get better!

  • this video has the mime, but it isn't the same -- the mime needs to dress up like The Gimp from "Pulp Fiction," just like in the video for "New Song."

  • That's not really a mime. It's Charlie Chaplin.

  • this song is extremely catchy :)

  • I remember going to Weehawken to listen across the Hudson River for the Concerts on the Pier to try and listen to this as it was performed in Manhattan c. 1985. Barely heard it and it was all echoey, but it was still very cool.

  • I used to love this song wheni was small

  • ♫ Very good song! ♫

  • actually when i heard this i remarked upon how great the background vocalists are compared with music today so go figure

  • If anyone out there plays The Sims 2, this song can be found on there

  • Great song, but god lord, WTF were people like Howard Jones thinking stylistically in terms of dress, hair, etc. I was an impressionable 15-year-old when this came out, but even then I could see how insipid and tacky the New Wave look was. Like neutered punk style.

  • Oh come on, it was the eighties.

Every generation had their own look and style.

  • The MTV era was a very manufactured time created by people who were far removed from the artists themselves. It was an effort to develop an identifiable characteristic. You can see this in the many videos that simply don't make sense (i.e., Kim Wilde's "Kids in America" - WTF?). I'd venture that Howard only looked like that at his concerts and not every day. I just like the music. Wonder what he thinks of the look these days?

  • Oh thats so not fair to say.... just wait in a couple of years we're going to be raggin on 175lb dudes wearing 4XL t-shirts and pants my whole family could fit into. It's easy to monday morning quarterback style. Here'a a challenge; you come up with something unique, cutting edge and different that doesn't get made fun of 20 years from now... Impossible!

  • Is there any sheet music on this song? I can't find it anywhere.

  • total keyboard solo! omg

  • This was the very first single I bought !

Time flies & the music's no better.

  • Now that's what i call music!

  • OMG that hair!

Great 80's song. Brings back memories lol

  • first of all i'm not gay, so type to me like a real man.
