Out here, where I live, there is a radio station that plays 70's and 80's tunes, which is pretty cool, but, like most stations, you keep hearing the same tunes played over and over.

The MTV era was a very manufactured time created by people who were far removed from the artists themselves. It was an effort to develop an identifiable characteristic. You can see this in the many videos that simply don't make sense (i.e., Kim Wilde's "Kids in America" - WTF?). I'd venture that Howard only looked like that at his concerts and not every day. I just like the music. Wonder what he thinks of the look these days?
