Yeah I got a GT thats got some bolt ons with a little suspension with stock tires I totally get what you mean with the automatic thing, didnt know had a higher stall torque converter, that thing should run 10's easy, right now im saving up for a kenne bell 2.8 liter supercharger and a built engine with nos just for fun ill tell you if totally lose it with that much power!!!! By the way my step dad loves your car!!!!
i would suggest upgrading to the TCI ratchet sequential shifter and getting the right gears tuned for the car... then we'll see who still wants to call you a pussy.
by the way, how did you get the panels off the dash to get painted?
he's right... the accuracy of shifting after 400+ horsepower is more consistent in an automatic than in a manual. although it's true for supercharged v8 mustangs, it is especially true in turbo v8 mustangs. the auto transmission provides for more boost after shifting and thus would call for nothing less than a PERFECT manual driver to keep up, much less beat it, in a straight race.

Thanks.... Obviously you guys have not driven a 560hp 5spd. auto with a 3500 stall!?!? Sure a stick is fun and probably a better choice for under 400hp but this thing revs so fast that there is no way you could manually shift it with any consistency. Now, with the new motor coming in December....forged, stroked, stage 2 heads and cams and 16lbs. of boost.... its gonna be Crazy!!
Once you get above 500hp its almost impossible to shift manually with any consistency or speed. My 5spd. auto will destroy anyone with a manual that pulls up beside me!
Maybe if you pulled your head out of your ass and quite hat'n, you'll learn some shit!!

Well, I probably do now with the new motor in it. over 600hp to the wheels right now and soon to be re-tuned for race fuel.

Right now it has a PI triple disc 3500 stall converter and soon the 3.73's are going in.
The dash panels are easy.... most pop off and they might have a screw here or there.
