In this case the NPT treaty which Iran has signed clearly delineates who may have nuclear weapons and to what level. Iran agreed in this treaty not to develop Nuclear weapons while the US and Russia agreed to reduce their stockpiles. Israel, Pakistan, India are not signatories to the NPT while North Korea was it developed Nukes then withdrew from the treaty. Iran is suspected of trying the same thing.

As far as I recall, only one country ever used nukes against another. @ebnmasoud1 This is a question of international law. International law is based on treaties. In this case the NPT treaty which Iran has signed clearly delineates who may have nuclear weapons and to what level. Iran agreed in this treaty not to develop Nuclear weapons while the US and Russia agreed to reduce their stockpiles. Israel, Pakistan, India are not signatories to the NPT while North Korea was it developed Nukes then withdrew from the treaty. Iran is suspected of trying the same thing.

However, looking at intelligence reports from various agencies, we can clearly see all of them agree on one thing: Iran does neither have any weaponized nuclear material, nor do they possess facilities for the development of such.
Japan is a signatory of the NPT but enriches uranium one step short of weaponization.
