Numerous low blows with no points deducted but counting a low blow as a knock down unbeleivable and the knock down early was not a knock down so that is two more points for mares. In accordance with IBF/USBA Rule 3.D., the IBF is ordering a rematch between Joseph Agbeko and Abner Mares for the IBF Bantamweight title which must be held within the next 120 days or by December 14, 2011. Neither boxer can take another fight until the rematch is completed. Negotiations should begin immediately and be concluded by September 15, 2011.

This fight made me lose respect for Mares, I was just starting to become a fan. If he was deducted points for those low blows and didnt get a point for that fake ass knock down on the 11th. I'm not so sure Mares wins in the rematch. As the fight went on he faded in the later rounds. In the rematch Agbeko wont have (hypothetically) 15 lowblows to deal with and two knockdowns to overcome in that bout. So I'm going to go on record saying Abgeko wins a split decision by a round or two. This could be a nice trilogy to have though.

Bad officiating by the referee. When the referee failed to warn and deduct poiint because of low blows, it encouraged mares to throw more. Like the round where Agbeko was controlling the round, a single punch below the belt line derailed Agbeko.s momentum.

Okay wow I don't even know what to say other then that this was a disgraceful performance by Mora! I hate to think that the was paying off of anyone, but really I mean what other conclusion am I supposed to draw from what he failed to call?? I have not been this upset at the officiating for a boxing match in a long time, I mean there have been some bad calls and questionable decisions this year but this was by far the worst thing I have seen in the Ring for a while worse the Williams v Lara!
