calling apoptygma berzerk emo is like calling snoop dogg classical LMAO
Apop is synthrock/futurerock/industrial...they were originally classified as ebm/industrial years back when they started...long before the synthrock/futurerock label came around
Okay first off, when is Groth gonna get over the ridiculous scifi space idea. Its very old and its all OVER his single Apollo. I personally like his music up until You & Me Against The World album came out. His older stuff was better and more unique. This is very pop sounding and I liked him without guitars or very LITTLE guitar use. I respect him looking outside his music genre but can't he do this on a side project? A lot of your older fans miss Soli Deo Gloria and 7. What happened???
I agree, I perefer his music from his old days to what he plays now, but I guess muicians have to evolve at some point, they wanna make money as well I guess. Still, miss old good days.
@CorneliusRose25 I know this is late, but I'm just barely seeing this and hearing this for the first time thanks to boredom at work, haha. Anyway, I totally agree with you. I'm not really liking this song. It doens't even sound like Groth to me. I liked majority of his work up until You & Me. I mean, he did Fairlight Children which sounded similar to what he was already doing with Apop....why not make a side group for this?
this is better than their mundane futurepop, I feel it's more emotive with this sound as apposed to the bland 4/4 drum beats and 16th note synth lines.
I just recently discovered these guys...holy wow is all I have to say, this is some of the best music I've heard in a really really long time, I know now what I want for Christmas haha
The bottom line is that all that heavy shit gets old.. fast! I love what APOP is doing and NIN as well. Both bands are doing well exploring music and great lyrics. Bravo!
Apop is simply exploring different sounds, which I think is a great thing. If they still made "industrial" all the old fans would grow tired of the same shit. Take KMFDM and MINISTRY for example... where are they now???
yes guy, u are pretty right! The movie "Adrift" was yesterday broadcasted in Czech telly. It was late at night and I was half sleeping. Nevertheless, during the final titles this song played. That made made got up from the bed and seek for the song on the internet as I had no clue who the artist is or what the name of the song is... GREAT PIECE!!!

long have i been a fan of Apop ....now i'm ashamed of this emo crap....shame shame shame.
I doubt they will like it when they look at their audience one day and not see one face above 13 years old.
