It's a drug, I'm addicted and need an intervention. Uh oh I shouldn't have said that. Google trends is great. One thing I did was search who was looking for porn in Calirnia. Far and away more people earch for porn in Arabic and Iranian (farse) then in english. Could it be Google trying to make Arabs look like perverts? Or is the percent of people using google in Arabic who are also in California just happen to look a porn a lot?

Nice video, but perhaps Ron Paul's gigantic search volume is due in part to his lack of news volume. You should show what happens to search volume for each candidate when they are in a big event, such as being on Leno, or in the debates.

@theantirobot- actually, from looking at the 'trends', it seems fairly consistent that the candidates' searches increase proporional to the increase of their news references. People simply don't search for things they've never heard of. For instance, no one would Google Obama if they've never heard of him. However, if he's constantly celebrated in the media, a lot of people will search- even if just wanting to find out what his abs look like.

The media is biased against Ron Paul, and for a good reason. News shows report on just that. News. If Ron Paul doesn't win major elections or publicly attack other candidates, they're going to remain under the radar. And as for the search results... news shoes don't use google to write their shows. Search results have nothing to do with the "evil mainstream media" you guys love to hate so much.

Election fraud was commited in Iowa on January 3rd. This will come out soon enough. I literally saw Ron Paul's vote tally go lower after more votes were recorded. How is it possible to lose votes after they have already been recorded?? I live on the border of Iowa and have family in Iowa. All of the results have NOT been recorded yet, and its January 4th. I saw Ron Paul's percentage drop (and then come back up) as more precincts reported. But that's perfectly normal since the percentage is basically an average. If you saw the actual _number_ of RP votes go down - that need to be looked into.

People are now collecting more info about the Iowa vote. Guliani's votes literally dropped by 2-3k votes. This most likely means his votes were transfered to a candidate like McCain or Thompson so to place ahead of Paul. Also, 65 precincts not recored yet, counting process should have been quicker for republican count due to more simple process. Sounds like VOXEO(Israeli Defence Co) counted vote ttls for Iowa.

To check this I put in general words like window, tire, hammer, etc ( he did beat out common words like "window" and "tire" this month too! Amazing! Note that when you enter the full search term "George Bush" he has lagged "Ron Paul" for quite a while. Try other words too and see just how popular Ron Paul is as a search term on Google.

I just did the same search using Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Hilary Clinton and the Victoria's Secret super model Adriana Lima. Adriana received more searches than all of them EXCEPT for Ron Paul. Just goes to show you, Ron Paul is now a superstar because of his message.
