I've done something like that, but for a different reason. I put the head of my hot friend onto the body of a naked woman. I had to adjust the neck and the hair, and the skin color, and it took me awhile, but it was pretty good.
Do you know where I can find this episode? I love her and can't find any of her stuff for free on the internet other than Super Slim me and Dawn goes Lesbian??
companies are obviously going to make their models look as good as possible..it's in their interest. There's no reason to feel self-conscious because someone might be better looking.
dawn's great at covering these topics and it's complete rubbish that the media do this when everyone should be natural. This is how eating disorders and low self esteem come about. Go Dawn!
I think she looked wonderful at the end of the make-up procedure. Very glamourous. I mean, she's already beautiful but all the 'grooming' of hair and make-up brings out the best in people - Having said that I don't think she looked better after the computer changes: They'd made her too thin, and there was no need to change anything in her face.
you have to remember that advertising is based on desire - people wanting to be thinner, prettier, better, adverts basically say if you buy our product you will look like this..
yer, i thought that as well. all the other women had their boobs out, but she didn't. i suppose she just put them on (green leaves) for a laugh, i think some other women did as well. i still thought it was good though.
'How can I look like this?' is a trick question because no one does and therefore no one can.
Consumers are going to spend an infinite amount of money on trying to discover the answer to this endlessly unsolveable riddle. If these images were naturally acheiveable through certain beauty products, we'd only buy them, ignore the rest, and watch the cosmetics industry shrink.
Like all the big metanarratives : religion, perfect democracy, etc - if people want to believe it, they will.
Tell you what? Dawn isnt exactly my type on 1st impressions at a bar, but having seen a few programmes of her, theres something striking about her that I cant quite put my finger on. But I actually fancy her?!!
kudos to dawn and all those involved in making this documentary and the other one about lesbians. she's got real guts and i admire her for pushing herself well beyond her "comfort zone" =)

Great work if you're making a living by destroying the documentary format. This has as much right to call itself documentary as Nuts magazine has to call itself classic literature. It may not be indicative of your work generally but it's the type of trash that is killing UK television and you have some responsibility for that. Great! Well done for selling out for da cash!!
If you think creating a programme as ambitious as this on the kind of budgets offered up by BBC3 was selling out then you are sadly mistaken. I have produced a number of docs over the years and picked up many awards (including two BAFTAs) for my efforts. I am as proud of this show as any I have done before. It was made with great integrity, and I believe the result was both entertaining and informative. If you disagree, then may I suggest BBC4 as a worthy alternative.
I have to agree with DGS10, although perhaps not so strongly. You have won a bafta, well done, so have I. Have the grace to accept that some people might feel differently to you about the documentary form though, and that those people shouldn't be ghettoised to BBC4, (and indeed they aren't, yet).
This was entirely my point. I absolutely believe there is room for all kinds of docs on tv. My comment about BBC4 being a worthy alternative was not meant as a slight toward the programming or audience of that channel, (I watch it myself), it was meant to mean that if you don't like something, it's possibly not aimed at you, and that there are plenty of other channels serving up different styles for different audiences.
Saw this show, having not really heard of Dawn before, what can I say? . . . Dawn, you don't need a make over, you are already perfect!. . . .but I guess that was the point you were trying to make, all of us are perfect!. . . just you a little more so !
whats the soundtrack on here? would be much appriciated if given! :) x

t the end of the show she is screeming "get naked with me" whilst standing there in pants and covered breasts, is she insane?

I don't think it's matters that she wasn't really naked because she still got the message out to women to love their bodies flaws and all.
So yup, it was still good :D I liked the programme apart from the nudity lol

she's well worth the licence fees in my opinion
