  • I completely agree with you!!! It's my favourite Christmas episode of a tv show ever!!! I love it!!! Do you know that Matt and Harriet characters are based on the relationship of Aaron Sorking and Kristin Chenoweth real relation? I just found that yesterday!

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • Who is this trumpet player?

  • @JabeRaddle Troy Andrews, aka Trombone Shorty. Despite the name, he's also a dynamite trumpeter.

  • I love this. Downloaded this off of NBC after the studio 60 ep premiered and still have it on my ipod. I listen to it all year long.

  • I transcribed the recording. Sheet music available for purchase.

email me for a link at o holy night music request @ yahoo . com (no spaces) (also a video of a performance of the transcription)

  • This is probably my favourite Christmas episode of a show ever!

Just beautiful music and a reminder that there are always humble, courageous people out there!

You don't have to be a fame-hungry media-whore to be adored and, more importantly, respected.

It's just a shame that the people who funded Studio 60 and the recording of this music are the people who propagate such attitudes.

  • @sonofliberty1 I completely agree with you!!

  • Beautiful.

  • You can download it from the internet if you google it. Otherwise, you can buy a CD from Barnes and Noble that has it as well as other songs. The name of the CD is Sunday Music 5: Holiday. I love love love this version, so had to find it!

  • Studio 60 is the besttt

  • this makes me forget....all the rush.. the bad drivers... the commercial aspect of Christmas.... and it makes me remember...that...I...am not worthy.....of the love Christmas represents...

  • Why doesn't Trombone Shorty make a Christmas Album? This is so moving and real. Thanks for posting.

  • Fantastic ! I love it... i want it....

  • Oh my how I love this!

This version of the song goes straight to the core of my soul.

    Thank you for uploading.

  • This is not from an album. The Producers of the television show "Studio 60 on Sunset Strip" contacted Tipitina's, one of New Orlean's finest 'real' jazz venues and they put together Trombone Shorty and some other of the big names from New Orleans...flew them to LA and they recorded this for the show. It was available for free from Tipitina's website after that with hopes you would donate to their fund to get music back into NO schools with new instruments, etc.

  • Is this still available anywhere? I've searched online with no success...

  • No kidding...where can I get this soundtrack??

  • thanks so much
