These lyrics alarm me, and make me feel quite uncomfortable. They are speaking of religious armies, which is basically equal to the Knight's Templar, who were also a religious unit and killed thousands who disagreed of their faith - even children. When they say "Would humbly seek His faith, yeah

And turn from their old ways" are they saying that humans are all bad unless they seek Christianity? Personally, I find that sad to teach children they are wrong without reason.

Yes but there seems to be one flaw in you reasoning. The "religious unit" the song is talking about is not one who literally picks up an sword or whatever ever weapon they have lying around, but one whose weapon is PRAYER. I doubt that any person was ever turned to Christianity by violence. I also highly doubt that you know anyone who hasn't lied, stolen, or lusted in their lives. Last if this video offends you then why did you watch it? I get the feeling God is laying something on your heart.

Well, one would assume that if the majority of the lyrics are literal, why would one phrase automatically be so out of place? I will give it to you that it is not literal. Actually, if you do research Christianity has contributed to much bloodshed in the years aiming to convert. Christianize a nation, force them to change their beliefs, and some will revolt. Also, lying is natural - most children lie at the age of 3 without knowing they are lying. Lust, how is this wrong?

Lust is natural, lust is simply a sexual desire. The only way lust itself is immoral would be how you react to your desires. Do you return home to your partner at night, or do you meet someone along the street to relieve yourself of your urges?

I never stated the video was offensive, but rather alarming due to the lyrics. My sister had watched this video, and I stumbled across it - and along I am an atheist - I enjoy hearing the perspective of others. A deity has nothing to do with it.

For your second argument: Most children steal at by the age of three without knowing they are stealing. Most children strike or hit at the age of three without realizing it is wrong. Admiration is natural. when you return to your partner you are fulfuilling that admiration with love.

If you look at porn or go to "somone on the street" as you put it, you are hurting yourself and others by making that admiration lust.

Lust is wanting admiration, and idolizing no matter what. Love is giving admirtation and deeply careing about the other person without wanting something back.

God Loves You. Hence Jesus Came down to be the only perfect sacrifice so we can accept God's Love.

For most of this song, the underlying metaphor (once again) is an army of Gods people praying for the world. You also seem wholly determined to return to the argument that Christians have caused much bloodshed in history. Allow me to say that I 100% disagree with how they went about it. Almost nowhere in the New Testament do you see people converted to Christianity by force.

First of all, The only reason that these things are natural is because of humans themselves. They were created without sin and shame, shyness, ect. They were only happy, But they, Of there on free will, turned on that, And sin entered the world, it became they're nature, Which doesn't make it right. (Genisis in the Bible.) Everything wrong with the world is humans own fault, They're own choice. And After all that, Christ still loves and forgives us, Once saved nothing can rip you from his grasp.

I think this song is more simply posing the hypothetical question: "What if people would call on the Lord in their time of need?" In the old testament of the bible, there are countless stories where God's people prayed to Him, and the Lord delivered them from armies bigger and more powerful than them. In the new testament, we are all declared to be God's people. That means that we may all pray to the Lord and ask for deliverance as the armies of old did. In doing this, would not the Lord answer?
