  • This song plays beyond the flow of time.

  • pls send me a msg if you know any other version of this song on youtube, you would help me alot ty =)

  • Some times I wish I can be like Balthasar in nu form and just shut down permanently.

  • @Kingzylo Well acording to many "God created Man" - and "Man perfected the art of Self-Destruction" so...pleanty of options to ya buddy!

  • @LeVaughnX Yeah but I wish I could turn myself off and then turn myself back on over a long period of time.

  • @Kingzylo You basically wish you could traverse time as if it were but a road and nothing more? Moving forward in time while your body and mind remain in a state of slumber - preserving the only thing you own, life?

I'd prefer to use the Epoch to see what the universe will be like in a thousand years from now...Will it be an apocolyptic landscape like its portrayed in many sci-fi books, movies, and games? Or will it be an age of advanced technology....

  • @LeVaughnX I think the idea of being able to shut down and be sustained without food or water is what really interests me.

  • @Kingzylo Well friend if we (people/humanity) came together and stood up against that which pushes us down and controls us (many different things) then we could put our heads together in the end and possibly design some form of technology to allow us this sort of action. As we (humanity) stand right now however; too many "personal wars" are being waged and too much ignorance infects our existance....Only when we come together will we reach a golden age....

  • @SchnuffelB I dont know if you're just trying to troll...but describing this song as "sad" would be like looking at a Van Gogh and saying "It's blue, white, with some yellow in it." Sure, you described it...but you did a horrible injustice to the message of the painting if that's how you describe it. Yeah, this song is "sad"...but it's also a myriad other things.

  • @toomuchcaffeinetoday ""This song represents a phobia of lonelyness that has been forgotten by modern man as we are connected through various ways. A darkness, a mystery, seperation, desolation, isolation, starvation, and depression; all created by an unknown, the same unknown which drive some to seek answers within the very fabric of time itself..."" -- How's that?

  • @LeVaughnX That...is definitely acceptable my friend. Thank you. Very acceptable.

  • @toomuchcaffeinetoday You're very welcome!

  • I actually had a dream to this theme once. I awoke and tried to report in to my hanger for work, but the sky was grey all over with bits of ash falling from the sky. I made it to the hanger and saw that everything looked abandoned, but I still found everyone...Only it looked like they had all died where they were and it looked like they had been there for hundreds of years. Creepy...CREEPY dream.

  • Yea, I peed my pants listening to this. That's how good this is. OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • What was the official name of this song?

  • @AMcGrath82 I think is "Belthazar", i don't have 100% sure...

  • @Aiacoschaos It's Sealed Door in the OST

  • @DeathNoteNear38 Yah, you're right! =D

  • @AMcGrath82 i think it's "sealed door" or something along those lines

  • bravo, this is really a very good job....!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I just realized the A section of this is in 5/4. They don't make video game music like they used to...

  • @anthonyhealy25 A lot of it is in 6/4 too.

  • Reminds me of a person who's going to the hospital after being hit by a car and dying on arrival.

  • NO DarkXenAlpha I AM THE BIGGEST CHRONO TRIGGER FAN, I NAMED MY OWN SON NU!

  • my favorite game as hell... Chrono Triegger !!! TILL MY DEAD ... i wish i could make a world of chrono trigger =P

  • This song reminds me the sadness of aging and the passing of time...

  • sounds like that 1 one song from kingdom hearts 2 - hollow bastion i think

  • did you see my masterpieces?

  • Your re-makes are amazing, I hope that you will do some more soon

  • The first 30 seconds of this song makes me want to cry. It sounds so desperate, so sad. I love this song.

  • A download link for this would be awesome :O

very beautiful orchestral piece btw :)

  • Balthasar has a theme?!

  • @renzofthedungoens Just about every named character who has more than one plot appearance does.

  • reading a good book is the same as playing this gem. and not many books or movies leave a feeling like this beautiful adventure =D

  • Chrono trigger isnt over yet , the fans yearn fro more, we will have our wish some day.

  • This was when you got the ship Epoch from Balthasar, from what I remember. But the perfect picture to place in this touching and yearningly beautiful song. How Magus stared out over the cliffs in that era of the past, and he remembers..

"Behold. Everything's at the bottom of the sea. Gone is the magical kingdom of Zeal, and all the dreams and ambitions of its people."

"I once lived there...but I was another person then."

  • i love chrono triggers everything is amazing

  • the first picture in the backround is sick, thats the only one i havent seen

  • Lol such epic music having to be put down to the snes, I feel sorry for the people who made such great music just to see it put down to the sound quality of the snes

  • @Mralec007

Man, as one of CT's biggest fans, if not THE biggest, I must say, the SNES is what makes it SO great. The sounds. The sprites. The colors. Pure style and art, and nothing more. It is an absolute gem in history, and I and many others, would have it NO other way.

  • @DarkXenAlpha They should do a limited production to make same style prequel/sequels to this for us old school fans. Now that is worth my $49.99+.

  • @Mralec007

yea man you got it backwards. Composers just put down the noise on paper. People, with any instrument, can play it in any way the want. The SNES wasn't the limiting factor; it was simply the heralder of the music. Its actually very humble and beautiful that way. Sort of like baby Jesus being born in a barn rather than a palace or something grand, you know?

  • @Mralec007 I saw an interview with Yasunori Mitsuda (Guy who wrote the music in Chrono Trigger) and he was saying what a challenge it was to put all the parts he had in his head, into the game. Of course it all worked out in the end because now orchestras perform his songs.

    watch?v=NITRZK8z0ek

  • best nintendo game ever period

  • @caleron0 NO!!! BEST GAME EVER, PERIOD :D

  • @TaiWanWaf ok you got me

  • your songs are so beast

  • nice. a great song!

. . .but so damn sad DX

  • it's written Belthasar not Baltasar

  • Somehow you make them sound even better than what was on the OST.

  • .....epic

  • amazing job!

better than the original! this song is really epic

  • Outstanding job!

  • Coooool! You really are very, very good at this!

  • Good work! You made it even better :)

  • love the way the starts in 5/4.

im a composer so i apreciat how much of a BITCH this is to work with!

    awsome song

  • This song is brilliant, it captures the feeling of a desperate struggle, and doom, while also being slightly uplifting.

  • Brilliant, just like all other chrono music. btw that pic with Magus standing in Zeal owns. please tell us where you got it

  • Super mystical fucked up weird cathedral area. Cool. 5/5

  • I'm impressed. Personally, I think the DS's port should have used modern sound banks for the music, and your work shows why.

  • Can anyone tell me where i can find that Magus Pic?

  • This is called "Sealed Door" on the soundtrack.

  • I don't remember when this song plays, but this is just amazing.

  • It plays in the Keeper's Dome and whenever you open a sealed door.

  • It's impossible to describe this song with simply words.

  • @OSam253 I agree. All I can make are vague associations with discovery, revelation, sadness, and some discouragement but with some hope sprinkled in. Probably because that sealed room containing Balthasar's voice is permanently associated in my mind with this song.

  • I would like this song.

  • go to google and search youtubedownload. and pick a link and type in the Url in the indicated box and u can download a flv version of this . If you dont have anything that can play flvs then download a flv converter and convert it into a mp3 or sumthing that u can play.
