Hi, i've been djn weddings for 12 years. I'm hitting my first bridal show this january. I watched your video to get ideas. You presented well. As far as the lighting question. My opinion is, if I was walking through and seen a dj with more lights than another, I would prolly go with the one with more lights. Or maybe ask that question, Do you have more lights than shown? Thanks for the help. I do appreciate it..
Very nice video. Excellent information and informative, too. Thanks! I'd suggest you going with more lights. Perhaps the new LED lighting like I have (Chauvet Colorstrip) or even a simple disco ball w/spot. The new LED lighting is so light & compact. I wouldn't rule out a flat screen TV either if you're gonna go to the trouble of hooking up a lighting truss.
Go with more lights but be mindful of other vendors nearby. I like to use allot of uplighting on the ceiling. That way all that color is seen further away and it attracts people. Kids love the lights and that in turn will bring people to your booth. As for using more speakers, it isn't really important to have a booming sound system at your booth. You don't want the sound to be so loud that it hinders easy conversation between you and the potential client. Same goes for the lights as well.
i would deff take the best of everything we did a expo and we latter found out we did not get some of the jobs cause the other companys brought what they were selling we tried to save money with a smalle booth so next year we took what we were sellin and out sold the top company from the year befor great video
hey thanks for doing this! i have one coming up that i hope to get in sometime in January. this helped out quite a bit since ive never done one. im working on getting more weddings this year. love the videos! keep em comin!
GREAT INFO!! GOOD JOB!! I would add more lights but not neccesarilly turn them on at the wedding show. I think the bride will see more bang for the buck if they envisision the option of having more lights vs the 2 lights.
Anyway to get a copy of your info sheet that you handed out?

Looking at your business cards, why do you discount your service even before talking to the brides?
