im sure it will take anything with a quarter inch output. trouble is there is no clean sound on this, so everything will have distortion added to it. not ideal if you're going for the stevie wonder thing with a clav

theres no real "clean" sound on the free speech. the built in distortion isnt pretty strong. not bad on its own.

i think the rocktron banshee does clean

if there is a quarter inch output, yes, anything can run into it. drums if you'd like.. so long as it goes in quarter inch.

the mics should have a mini headphone sized jack on the end that will plug in next to the input.

i sould advise against using the included mic and run the mic through your PA system instead. i could never get a good enough sound out of it to use it

yes. the included mic goes right into the talkbox. with a different mic and PA system, nothing will go to your amp, and the sound will just come through the tube, into your mic, and out of the PA

thank you so much so ur able to decide when u want the effect on and off rite?? like when u turn it on sound will come from the tube go into the mic and go throuhg the amp and when its off sound will go bypassed rite??

and if ur practicing lets say living on a prayer at home and u need to turn off and on the talkbox heres my way of doing it instead of buying a p.a just get a guitar hero mic or some usb dynamic mic and then mic the tube then through that go into a recording program and dont record just do monitor audio so ur comp speakers can act as ur p.a so yah

that can work. you can also get an XLR to 1/4 inch cable and run it to a spare guitar/bass/key amp.

you turn the effect on with the switch. when it isnt engaged, nothing comes out of the tube

and the proble is i dont have a dynamic or condenser mic and also i dont got a spare anything amp. the gutiar hero mic isnt great but its pretty good but i have to use the built in mics cause since all my gear is downstairs and y speakers for my computer is upostairs and my computer is upstairs so too much moving if u ask me

the distortion is built in and has a variable amount of gain. hard to get a clean tone.

Well, for 70 euros you can build a real pro talkbox that sounds almost as good as a 400 euros Golden Throat Talkbox. And it doesn't require any special skills to build one.

the ghetto talk box is actually more realistic than this one. the ghetto talk box is just a crude remake of the original, whereas this is basically a fake.

but the ghetto is homemade and thats a real 1 so how is it more realistic?? and also with my ghetto talkbox i hear 2 different sounds. I hear the guitar sound and te talkbx sound please help me

the ghetto talkbox followed the original concept of sending the amp signal through a tube to be miced later. the danelectro talkbox has a built in overdrive circuit and is meant to go straight back through the amp. it does this very poorly.

it comes with 2 mics that are supposed to send the signal back through the pedal and through the amp. the mics never picked up well, so i just ran the pedal through a regular mic and PA

the overdrive is part of the pedal. its not very good at clean sounds, and will be very quiet unless the overdrive is turned up.

id try the rocktron one first. talk box is a very unique effect and certainly cant be used all the time. i think a delay would be more helpful, but not nearly in the same way. ive got a couple delays, and id always bring them to a show before the talk box

my ghetto doesnt work theres still sound coming out of the speaker cone so u hear both bypass and talkbox how do i fix it??

which speaker cone? bypass what exactly? in order for the ghetto talk box to be used practically with one amp, you would need a switch to select either your cab or the talk box.
