I've been tuning mine like this cause I have to keep my bridge a little higher than average DT some needed fret work but after raising the tail piece it bends like rubber bands,and it just sounds F-ing cool.

What would happen if the rest of the band was tuned to A=440. I think you would have to play the A scale starting on the 6th fret. Otherwise you would be playing in A flat while they are playing in A
