Yes flying in a north western direction the aircraft would be battling strong crosswinds,as you tend to battle stronger crosswinds in a westenly direction,hence your journey takes that little extra longer then if you were were travelling in the opposite direction.
thats like on my plane they show a map(: cool times<3 i always wanted to go to nz so badly.
