  • So i just recently saw this done and knew i had to do it...how would you progress to this i can do butterfly with both knees to the floor and also lotus with ease?

  • Try bringing your feet (soles against each other of course) closer to the perineum.

  • Then what?

  • Just lift your feet to chest level, then try to bring your knees closer to each other while bringing your feet and ankles towards at the same time.

  • Hmm this seems so hard for me.. Got any tips? When I sit down and try to do this my feet wont go any higher than my waist.

    I can get into Lotus very easily without the use of my hands if that helps at all.

  • Not so much as tips...but try doing some simple butterfly stretches as well, such as the baddha konasana. (A very popular butterfly stretch) The kandasana is actually a butterfly variation. It requires strength in the legs as well as flexibility, and a simple butterfly stretch would help enhance that a little. ^^
