He also says that Bush and Powell spent weeks and weeks with the CIA before forming those beliefs. What he doesn't say is that after the CIA's initial investigation and report that did not show what the Bush admin wanted, they had another investigation drawn up that did. That's when Powell quit.

I was in Iraq for 2 years and 3 months as a US soldier and I really do have to say, while the heat wasn't all that great (from me being a new-englander) I have never felt at any time throughout my entire time there that chemical weapons were a drastic issue to my health, and I still don't understand what a terrorist looks like, show me. It was an ineffective and costly overreaction to invade Iraq, but this would not be the first overreaction this country had in times of stress.
