Hertzog should stop using his voice for voice overs. His accent and intonation is the most distracting one we have ever heard. In most cases the documentary/ movie his voice brakes with the images and story line. Above all it weakens it and distorts the whole doc. This film is good - but nothing can surpass "Lessons of Darkness", which is Herzog's masterpiece. Not even Herzog can surpass this anymore. This entire film is so beautifully composed, and all the beauty you see, is destruction on a massive scale. The images will stay with you for a very long time...the film is mesmerizing... up until the last minute, at which point Herzog pulls the plug, or rather brings you back to reality. The ending is stunning, to put it mildly.

I really loved this documentary, it was so beautiful, poetic, but there was something that disappointed me , namely the part where that American ex banker spoke about when he went to Guatemala and how he portrayed some post Mayan tribe, as if they were savages. It just all sounded blown out of proportion, more like a movie. It's not that they're saints, but I, as Central American never heard of such a thing, because there are many many people working with them and they are quite peaceful,
