  • this really was a rubbish song just a parody of the horrors of cotton picking...

'Twenty Flight Rock' remains one of the greatest rock'n'roll songs ever ..sadly most

of Cochrans slow songs are almost unlistenable.

  • love eddie cochran and this song is very catchy love it thanks for posting :-D

  • Well, they made cotton pickers outta 'em anyway.

  • whatever?????

  • Anyway, red neck music forever!!!!

  • @rubysson57 This aint red neck music man this is early Rock N Roll.

Rockabilly is southern Rock N Roll and as a southerner it offensive to generalise us all as rednecks

Its like calling a black man a nigger it just aint right ;)

  • 1:04 Greaser-movies gotta have they're shirtless shots

  • Both black & white picked cotton so there's no racial points to be scored.A cotton-picker was an overworked ,underpaid and generally bottom of the rung ,working class victim of the system regardless of colour.Don't look for racsism, there's enough around

  • @ditapage but blacks were doing it for free against there will.whipped and beaten, raped and murdererd, dont try to understand, its ovious you cant. But when black people see crap like this it makes us really understand racism in all its forms. And this is just one of those forms

  • Ever heard of indentured servants? They picked sugar cane in the west Indies and cotton in the deep south. The idea was they could one day earn enough to pay their passage andn buy their freedom. But very few ever did. Most died. Many were also treated worse than blacks (who were considered very valuable assets hence were bettter fed ). Some Blacks were offered the same option of buying their freedom. Also look at the recent article and book about Victorian Britain's slave children .

  • @ Trouble is your liberal education has been very selective in its 'colonia guilt' approach. You have been told only half the truth (if even that). You are still ignorant children. And until you start forgetting what you learned in school /college/university, and start learning and finding out things for yourself, Your generation will always be.

  • @baydough100 Poor whites were mistreated too! Exploitation hits every one. If you are in a sweatshop, or just selling the merchandise for minimum wage.

  • this is only a music video....nottin' is real..!! the nice gals in rap vids r also nowhere to see.. :)

  • Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and many other white performers were born to Migrant or tenant farming famlies.

Day all pickt cotton and they's lips twernt even thick enough ta tase Barbecue, Mr. Whitey, suh.

  • rofl

  • @bassmangotdbluz

    That's right.

  • politically questionable.. but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt

  • actually- since he's playing black music and saying 'you ain't gonna make a cotton picker otta me' isn't he kind of sticking up for the downtrodden?

plus- its probably a cover of a song originally by a black singer.

  • ist ignorant remark
