I would consider him an overlooked villian. He had brought much pride to the soviet union during it's time under his rule, however, i do belive that his labor deems were quite cruel and unnessisary. I find that if it were not for the USSR's WWII victory, joesph stalin may not be as much overlooked as a hero so much as a vicious dictator. I also think that the Soviet Union should not be overlooked as a total victor of Germany, as much sterotypically thought today, The union WAS heavily allied.

Actually, any western historian that did study the Soviet archives came to conclusions that run directly opposite to anything we were taught about Stalin. Historians such as J.Arch Getty, G.T Rittersporn and R.T Manning.. but also others have come to the conclusion that Soviet society wasnt so simple and centrally directed by Stalin as some would believe. It was more like a democracy actually. And most things that are so called "facts" here are nothing but hearsay or fantasy based on nothing.

But those researches aren't promoted nor propagandized as much as regular myths and slander, nor are those slanders being fixed and withdrawn. So much of the freedom of thought and education.

most of this video is bullshit, the industrialisation in russia did this things. When Germany, Great-Britain, France and the United States started to industrialize themself, these were the consequences of the industrialisation, hard work and no money. So Stalin didn't do wrong, neither good, he was doing the same things as the other people in other countries, however, Russia's industrialisation started to grow after the countries i mentionned before.
