  • Wings. You fly wing great drum wings. Keep flying my son. Keep flying ever higher on Gretsch wings of eagles and whatnot. You are the developmental drummering of futuristic quatitative excellence and adherence to flamboyancy and drum wingers. Wing out my friend. Keep the funk real regal and greasy. Oh...yaw! Yewy!

    Chaw.

    Chew.

    Vibes...

  • I have a gretsch catalina maple and it's really a good kit sounding with remo emperors. I have performed lots of time on stage with it and I have had a lot of compliments, especially from sound engineers. and that really says something for me. it just HAS that great gretsch sound:)!

  • crazy...lol

  • nice solo... I cannot do that.. which means that was awesome God given talent

    JESUS LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • See my new video. just posted.

  • Hey I just bought a Gretsch kit....I uploaded a video a drum solo just messing around a bit.....can you check it out?

  • you just killed stanton moore...

  • is the gretsch catalina maple a good kit to buy if you're looking for a new kit to replace an old Pearl forum kit?

  • ya im looking ito this set also to replace my ludwig accents cs 100 set

ive been doing tones of research and it is an incredible set although it is just a shell pack so it dossent come with pedals and cymbals stands and shit

  • have you ever yous a g1 resonant? i like those as well.

  • r u using those plastic sticks?

  • Vic's Steve Gadd....they are black.

  • This needs a groove...just one great groove in between

  • I have this kit and I need to get some new heads. I have noticed that many drummers like to use the Evan EC2 heads on this kit. This I will be getting very soon. However, I have heard many different arguments about the resonate side. I noticed that you are using the stock gretsch head for your resonate side. Have you tried using other heads and then come back? I have also heard that EC1 are good for the bottoms of the toms. Everyone's opinion helps. Thanks.

  • I've since switched the bottom heads to EC1 coated to get a little more out of the shell...I'm quite pleased with result.

    Bob

  • haha il make a recent one asap :)

did i mentio good playing :)

  • dude stop leaning back it makes it scrappy crap

    work on your posture!!!!!

at leasta hour everyday of leaning forward playing

  • Can I see your Drumming video Please...just paste the link so we can all see it...Thanks

  • what would be better the club mod or the maple??

  • It really depends on the sound You like. Go to a store that has both and compare the 2. Although, remember that the heads that come with these kits may need to be upgraded. I've replaced the top & bottoms on mine and they sound beautiful.

  • Ok, Thanks!

  • are you influnced by chad smith at all? rhcp

  • Chad Smith is a Great Drummer, and there are allot of great drummers out there...but my main influences are Kieth Carlock, Stanton Moore, Benny Greb, Marco Minnemann, and Steve Gadd,..just to name a few,...Derico Watson is also very fun to watch. Cheers

  • good stuff man, whats the crash on your right above your ride? its the crash sound iv been looking for 4 ages!

  • That is a HandHammered 17-1/2" Sabain

  • is this a good kit?

  • Yes it is a very good kit! but the guy playing on them makes them sound not so good.. Best kit for the money right now i will say.. But its not as good as USA. Maple Custom Gretsch..

  • what are you using to mount the toms

  • nice grooves for sure man! i'm definitely digging it and i can hear the influences coming out. awesome job.

  • What heads are using for the batter and reso on your floor tom? Roughly how many notes higher or lower is the batter tuned from the reso? They sound top notch!

  • Evans EC2 coated on the top, stock Gretsch on the bottom(single ply),...bottom is tuned about a 3rd higher than the top. But the maple shell has a very nice tone itself. Thanks for the visit. B

  • Muito bom a progressão...a dinâmica demais! I from Brazil! Very good...sense! Privilegiando a Bateria em cada ponto e naum somente pratos exagerados! Abraços!

  • Few suggestions...

learn the 3-3-2 bass drum rhythm... then learn the RRlRRlRL pattern over time... it will keep you in time-- and the bass drum will give structure. The groove is a bit fast, should be a bit more laid back to allow for ghosting variations etc.

  • Great coordination and groove sense,Bob!! Well done.

  • Wow!! Unbelievable!! Outstanding!!! Incredible!!.....adrummer with no head!!!!

    Good stuff Bob!!
