I like sharks. You chop them up with a cookie cutter and broil them. Then soak them in butter with a little garlic. They taste just like scallops. I think the smaller ones would probably be the most tender. You can also wrap them in bacon and deep fry them. Then dip them in Hershel's dipping mustard. Yummmm! Now I'm hungry. I think I'll go fishing for shark tomorrow.
It's a shame to see this happening, but the emphasis shouldn't be on the dozen or so sharks that were killed for this, but on the many millions that are killed because of the demand for shark fins in soup. Looking back at videos like this it is amazing how illogical and ignorant people can be of the sort of ecological damage shark culling can do. Sharks take a LONG time to sexually mature and hence mating is not often so their numbers can be decimated by such nonsensical "culls" -- sharks do not behave as they were portrayed in the jaws movie.

when we where night diving in the Isles of Shoals off Portsmouth, New Hampshire last August we had at least a 12 footer glide right by us...the eyes glow, just like a real Tiger....shit ,we got up and on the boat as fast as possible.

It's a shame to see this happening, but the emphasis shouldn't be on the dozen or so sharks that were killed for this, but on the many millions that are killed because of the demand for shark fins in soup. It is the Chinese that are mainly demanding this, they need to be educated into realising that it is wrong. And to add insult to injury, the shark fin fibres which are added to the soup possess hardly any nutritional or taste value. You would be able to make the soup without the shark fins...

Looking back at videos like this it is amazing how illogical and ignorant people can be of the sort of ecological damage shark culling can do. Sharks take a LONG time to sexually mature and hence mating is not often so their numbers can be decimated by such nonsensical "culls" -- sharks do not behave as they were portrayed in the jaws movie.
