Rape is a crime. It is a terrible crime. Women suffer terribly from rape whether or not the rapist is a stranger or someone she already knows. The psychological damage done is still the same. There is an increased risk for all kinds of problems. Now, when a woman has an abortion, she also has an increased risk for psychological problems as well as physical ones. If a woman is raped and gets pregnant it is not a 'result' it is a baby. Killing the baby, who is an innocent bystander is evil.

The difference is that the person on death row is there because they took at least one life in a heinous fashion and is likely to repeat that act even in prison(Guards and other inmates are also entitled to be safe)and the unborn child has done nothing to harm anyone.

One can be sentenced to death for a single "heinous" murder, the murder of a police officer, and the murder of a public official.
