  • @princesskatiecakes hey what do you mean hes going to get somebody killed at 1:20 he says AGAIN I CANT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GET QUALIFIED INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO DO THIS

SO SHUT UP OR GO MAKE UR ON VIDEO

  • what about like a fire fighters belay? does that work?

  • USE A PRUSSIK!! This way you won't die if you have a knock of some sort!

I put my prussik on the dead end so it dosen't get out of reach ... But that is what works for me everyone will do what is best for them!

If in doubt seek advice it dosen't hurt

  • same as most people said here, you do need a prusik or another piece of equipment to ensure a safe decent, or to had a knot at the almost end of the rope, if you let go, so you will still be left a few feet from the ground, if you want to instruct people through the internet, please do so correctly.

  • cool, "get qualified instruction".... so this guy's not qualified?? well, obviously he's not.. he missed a ton of stuff... but, isn't that what "expertvillage" is supposed to be?! tips from experts?! this is yet another expert fail by expertvillage....

  • you should have a prussik as a back up

  • you don't need a prussik while rappelling it is just a safety backup that is known to have a lot of problems with locking up unexpectedly, not locking, and jamming with a rappel device

  • @TheDanielRagsdale you do need a prussik while climbing jackass, if you were rappelling down a cliff, and for example, a rock falls and hits you on the head with no helmet, you will 99% of the time let go of the rope through shock, then what are you going to do? yes, fall. then hit the ground. i have been climbing for years now and i have never had ANY problems with a prussik failing in anyway. Im also in the mountain rescue where we use them all the time, these are a must have when rappelling.

  • @TheDanielRagsdale he also set it up wrong. if you set it up right, you have no problems.

  • @TheDanielRagsdale you jackass, i have been climbing for years now, i use a prussik everytime i rappel, its an essential peice of kit! for example if your rappelling down a cliff, and a rock falls and hits you on the way down, you will 99% of the time let go through shock, then what? you idiot.. im also in the mountain rescue where we use them all the time, if you set it up correctly, it will not fail in anyway. i highly reccomend using them, dont listen to this guy who clearly knows nothing.

  • @clarkey1009484 THEN GO MAKE YOUR OWN VIDEO AND SHOW EVERY BODY

  • Dude what a cliff 0.o you almost die!!!!!

  • Lacking several things for an instructional video.

  • what happened to using a prussik while rappeling?

  • cool thanks!

  • no mention of a french prussik?
