Very thought provoking information. I enjoyed her presentation. Coontz was easy to listen to, easy to follow, had a good sense of humor, and offered a lot of quite interesting stats.
Wow good stuff..probably not exactly what a lot of folks really want to hear right..but in other words feminists have got to straight up feel like they are being socially, economically and politically punished for not giving up the nookie?
She's a terrific speaker. Very informative, not preachy, good sense of humor, doesn't sound like she's reading from a script. I don't usually watch such long videos, but I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for uploading it. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more views by now.
Alot of what Stephanie Coontz speaks of are things I've already acknowledged for a good stretch now. I'm glad that someone with an educational background is putting out there like this. I tip my hat to her.
Wow! There are no comments on this and only 230 views at the time of this posting. This lecture destroys many of our popular illusions, presuppositions, and expectations about marriage and love. The age of the flexible family is upon us wherein people aren't defined by their marital and parental staus, nor by their attachment status (i.e. "I have a boy/girlfriend"), but by their relationship to environment and communal involvement.
