I've worked at the edges of the music industry, had a 1500 album record collection ($12,000, inc. a $1500 turntable when a house in Sydney AU cost $80K (now 500K). I took my music pretty seriously. This beautiful young person is not only one of the finest examples of what a young girl's character 'should' seem, i.e. natural, polite, intelligent, sensitive, with well chosen words, etc, she has one of THE MOST PURE, beautiful sounding voices I've ever heard. I love everthing about this kid.

The more you see of her the more you kind of naturally love this kid. What a great tribute to her parents/family. I have never seen her lose her cool and she is thrilled that she got $28 for her summer vacation at the beach. It is videos like this (and many others), that yield some of my more shameful moments, as I long that Jackie remains 10/11 years of age forever, and lament that she won't. I always gather myself back, admonish me, and realize we all need to grow and develop, encounter new things, yearn, reach and attain. I'll just enjoy and marvel every step of her way. For those who don't know yet. Jackie's star is rising further. Robert Redford saw Jackie sing on TV last month (Sep '11). Long story short. Jackie has been cast in a huge Hollywood Movie - The Company You Keep. Staring Robert Redford. Mr. Redfors os also the producer and director. Mr. Redford handpicked Jackie after seeing her perform. A week or so later she was shooting scenes in Vancouver. Movie release date Oct 2012.

@oakgrasssib There were auditions for the part (some here on YT, and mom blogs speaking to their daughter's audition). Even if Redford 'wanted'/recommended her for the part, it would have made good sense to make her part of auditions, not the least of which in case she did not impress enough. We can expect she did! All the best to JE in the part. She has completed some meetings and shootings, and still has some more shooting to go.

Wonderful tribute sung by a legend for someone who is destined to become a legend in her own right. What an amazing experience this has been! When I first saw and heard Jackie I couldn't believe her at first. How could a ten year old sing like that? Then it became my mission to counter every accusation on YouTube of lip synching, Las Vegas not being suitable, ruining her voice, her music not being appropriate and all of the other bs. Jackie is the best singer and person I have ever met a the song says. I have felt what it is like to be in heaven singing to Jesus when she sings. The music she sings and words she speaks envelop you in your very soul. I hope that the Lord blesses her tremendously. For, when someone touches you to the deepest recesses of the very essence of life itself: worship and service to God alone better than anyone you ever knew or saw, you can never be the same.
