Everyone knows that the British could not have defeated the French when Napoleon was commander for the French Army. Napoleon and his old guards were unstoppable. The only reason the French had to surrender was the Battle of Waterloo where General Nay had to take place of Napoleon as commander of the French Army but he sent in the hundreds of French lancers without infantry support which lost them the battle.

@bmbheat24 I make jokes about the French since we all joke on each other but to me Napoleon till this day has no equal; the best and hardest working General this earth has seen (reading history on him proves what he learned and did) and the French army was the best on earth with no army ever coming close to the dedication ever, of this army in its time. Napoleon was always a childhood hero and always will have one the nest impressions in my heart. the British would have been slaughtered....

@kahetel13 I totally agree with you there. Everyone knows that if Napoleon wasn't sick even though he still wanted to be on the front lines with his troops. He trusted General Nay, and Nay let him down by forgetting the most important rule of warfare at the time. One of Napoleon's famous quotes also. "You cannot advance forward with infantry without calvary support!" Nay advanced the hundreds of French Lancers to their doom without Infantry support to stop the advancing Scottish Highlanders

@bmbheat24 yes yes that it is well known even if many dont admit this my point was simple; Napoleon learned every aspect of warfare including the making of gunpowder and cannon forging etc etc. he also EARNED the trust and of his men and was a genius without equal a phenomenon of nature that only comes around every 300 years or more. Aside from this he was also a very passionate man and loved his men and country something that few do and merely talk shit about especially if the beer is aplenty

@kahetel13 Yeah I only like Civilization for the song though, I just don't like the graphics and the game physics. Now guys don't hate it's just not my kind of game, for some strategy gamers it's a great game, but I think Napoleon Total War is 10x better from just watching multiplayer gameplays from youtube. Yes Napoleon would have been a sight to see, he wasn't like most generals! He actually fought alongside his men instead of waiting at the back.

@bmbheat24 well think we very well established mutually a good opinion of Napoleon can understand what you mean about CIV games but to be fair, i think its different and cannot be compared to Napoleon TW its just not the same kind of game really. i own all TW games (even the first one in disk form ) so all i can say if you go by the eye candy and some of the physics in TW well civ doesnt stand a chance but,.... if you go the politcal and sim like nature of civ well it is good; give both a try

@kahetel13 what i meant by relying oin his generals is that he couldnt have operated much of his army without a few key generals, the ones that interpereted his orders, as they werent always that understandable. Never said he was bad. Also, genghis Khan not relying on generals doesnt imply lack of knowledge, he knew more than any of his generals, since he had experienced that first hand, yet he trusted his generals to be intelligent enough to act independently. Napoleon also knew more than any of his generals and, he was Emperor or did you forget that? finally, relying on your generals is common ad only a foolish commander would not otherwise. Lastly you cannot be in all places at once so i think its important to keep this in mind ; that his orders werent always that understandable i have no idea what or where thats been said

@willspock I beg to differ, most of the people I meet now a days are from the UK, Germany, Poland, Russia, and many other European countries . I am in the middle of Texas where only five years ago you would hardly meet anyone from Europe and now they are everywhere. As you said this is a vast country, so if the foreign population has bumped up this much in just my home town, what do you think it is like everywhere else in the US? Obviously there is something we have that Europe does not have.

@eiffelTowerMan Like I said in the post, WW1 just made us poorer (along with almost all of Europe) but when WW2 came there were many more jobs created from the war factories. WW1 didn't create this many jobs because of the technology difference between the 2 wars (like tanks, airplanes, submarines etc.). So now those who didn't have a job to before the war now either were enlisted in the military (mainly males) or working in the factories (females and those unfitt for military service).
