During the 9;45 how much altidute did it losew and what speed in relation to the earth was it going at the begining and then at the end of the 9;48 vid.?
Actually you wouldn't see any burning. Giving the speed the shuttle is traveling at the minute the ET would even start to enter the atmosphere the two would separate by miles within seconds. It would be like tossing a piece of paper out the window while driving on the highway, only at 18,000 mph lol.
@Truth666 Riiiiight, I guess everyone who has not only seen the launches but seen the shuttle through telescopes, my self included, are delusional. amirite?
2 REALLY good questions: #1 Who is shooting this footage keeping in perfect pace with the EFT in (presumably) orbit. #2 Why did they stay with it for so long if it doesn't finally burn up/reenter-as you suggested it did? This video should be taken down for being MISLEADING when there are plenty of other honest ones about the same subject. Apolo TR is a real fucktwit just for hoping that's what the rest of us are.
why can't they keep the camera inside the ET rolling until burn up? that would be some amazing footage and i'm surprised in the 30 year history of the space shuttle program it's never been done!
Yeah, title says "External Fuel Tank HandHelp"... Err, um, well I think they prolly meant to say "External Fuel Tank Handjob," though it look more like a large dildo or anal sextoy than anything else I've seen. And I've seen alot of dildos and HandJobs in my days! LOL!! Great footage otherwise!!
@GayWorldOrder ugh yeah, i dont really support gays. I didnt mean that its a sex toy flying down the atmosphere all i said was its just under a wrong title. PS: dont talk about your personal life its grose.
Because of the different speeds its not possible to be around when the tank comes apart and burns. Its moveing a lot slower then the shuttle when it enters over the Indian or Pacific Ocean (depending )
I want to see video of it for as long as it remains within sight of the shuttle. And then another video from the air or sea, to show the remains of the tank hitting the ocean, would be very interesting. Landing areas for the main debris are always calculated in advance, so this should not be too difficult to attempt. If someone at NASA could be persuaded to get that onto video before the end of the shuttle program, then that would be very interesting.
My idea to cap the Gulf leak: use one of the external fuel tanks that are used to launch the space shuttle Cut the bottom of the fuel tank off. This would be the part to sit down over top of the leak on the ocean floor. The top could be cut and serve as a funnel which would have a pipe welded to it and ran to the ships above. The large pipe would slow the velocity of the oil coming out making it more manageable and better insure that the pipe would stay connected to the make-shift cap.

@pilotwave yeah, was fixing to say that...they all say ET burning but we dont actually get to see it, which is honestly something hard to catch and useless I guess...

There is NO Endeavour in space. It is a normal plane and not what you can see at launches.
It is what you can not HEAR at landings.
