  • And it's so quiet!

  • so i guess its common for the student to be in the right seat with helicopter, unlike with an airplane where you sit in the left seat?

  • Beautiful country to fly over! Just a little outta trim though... a little right pedal would have cleared it all up :-) I do have to say I'm jealous of your GPS unit!

  • @jwjusaf Yes it's a great place to fly over! The GPS is good but a little difficult to see in bright sunlight - it's a bit of a luxury to use it. I was low hours on this vid so still getting used to keeping an eye on the trim - eventually got much better at it.

  • How are your hours coming along now? I'm assuming you've finished since this was posted 3 years ago. Are you going towards a commerstial licence to fly professionally?

  • a quick question, im in ground school so feel free to use short terms for things (ATC) so on

but run way 07 is (070 degrees)?

  • @thewairrior Yes, that's correct - it's 070 degrees, hows your flying going?

  • @cdcomcard well im in air cadets, im 14 as is now, but i will be up soon in about 3 years :)

  • @thewairrior GOOD LUCK with your flying - you'll have a fantastic time!

  • Flying instructor, gotta have some balls to do that for a living.

  • @Masterphonic they don't earn a lot either!

  • if you let go of controls would it just hover still or crash?

  • Comment removed

  • @LockerzUnlocked If I let go of the cyclic in my right hand it would crash pretty soon afterwards. The collective in my left hand and the pedals are a little more forgiving but must not be left alone in case of emergency.

  • @LockerzUnlocked It would crash in seconds!

  • @LockerzUnlocked

In general, if you let go of the cyclic the main is going to start tilting one way or another and if you don't get back on the stick pretty fast you're going to be headed toward the ground at a high rate of travel. I'm pretty sure the man on the right had a grasp on it for most of the video.

  • sweet

  • Couldn't you have let off of the pedal towards the end?

    Wouldn't windvane take effect?

  • Se mueve demasiado ese estacionario, le falta mas control sobre el helicoptero... Saludos!!

  • Convengo sí, yo era piloto de las horas del punto bajo en ese entonces, gracias por la fijación.

  • How come he didn't get yelled at by his instructor for going over the hold short line....

  • Thanks for your comment - We were given clearance well before we got there

  • by "ATC" or maybe tower?

  • marky mark doesnt have hair lol.

and i think i'm the only friend hes got! hahahaha

  • are you captain marky mark

  • No I'm not, however, I do bump into him from time to time at the training school. I also sometimes fly not far from him when he's doing the local traffic reports. I've followed him over Gateshead a couple of times.

  • Very nice. What's your camera setup? I'm struggling with vibration when I mount my ATC2K directly to the headset hook on the firewall. It's a bit heavy and resonates with the helicopter's inherent vibration. The footage becomes unusable as soon as we pick up.

I'm considering a smaller bullet cam with external storage device (UKhelicopterPilot's setup). Curious if you can share your config.

  • This is so very cool!!!
