@SawedShotgun Part of the problem is the lack of good managers. Take Bret Hart, for instance. He couldn't talk at all when he came into the WWF. In fact, the whole reason he wore sunglasses as first was because his eyes look frightened during promos. So they put him with Jim Neidhart, and Jimmy Hart, two guys who knew how to bust a promo. Eventually he learned, got comfortable, and was able to break away. New talent needs that badly.

@SawedShotgun I should have been a little more specific and said "wrestlers coming up today". Punk, Jericho, and Christian have been around forever, though it took a while for WWE to discover Punk. They came up back in the day, when wrestlers still knew how to give promos, and didn't have everything written for them. Flair, Piper, Austin, Rock, HHH, Jake Roberts. New talent can't even come close to those promo skills.

-I can't decide if I love or I simply can't believe how the interview completely no-sells how bad this interview is!

-If he can tolerate/not laugh/not react in any way at all, you have to wonder how awful other interviews he's conducted have been in order to condition this response
