I may be late on this, but since Gil Scott Heron just died. I just realized how much this song reminds me of "The Revolution Will Not be Televised." I get the same feeling from this song.
@WuBoy80 You can tell it was inspired by it. It's funny, I came to this video because of the same reason. I heard "The Revolution Will Not be Televised" and It made me think of this.
This is V.I.B.E., we are two fifteen year old ex-international school kids, one of us lives in Japan, and the other in America, we are a hip hop duo, and we make music over Skype, with our inspirations being Fort Minor, Kanye West, and Eminem.
If you have a good knowledge of hip hop or music in general, please check out our channel and let us know what we need to do to improve on.
Image if music like this was popular, if the world asked for positive messages... if we wanted this feeling of peace... we would definitely be different. I am hopeful that the day will come... keep it real though.
Every time i hear this song i always apply it to my personal life. Am i going the right way in life that i want? Did i fail to see the signs because of other distractions? Is it too late change the direction i am heading because i missed the signs?
Thanks for that comment @1HeatWalk ..There's great truth in that.
Music has helped me a lot over the years... in over-standing the seemingly insane world around me. I'm happy to say that it has helped me grow enormously and today I'm in a space where i never thought to be a few years ago... its great to hear when other you-mans find strength and/or direction through music.
It took a while to understnd the pics in the video - i got the lyrics - own the cd - but it took me like 2 mins into the song to catch on. Overall, great video. You must see teh signs people!!!!
hmmm maybe, but we've all been "thinking" for a while now, and look where it got us. I believe "FEELING" is just as important, if not more-so.
It's the contrast, the absence of conscious thought vs' rationalizing everything into its little box... since all is one... and "there is no spoon", I believe the answer is neither black or white :)
your true its not black or white, but the one thing people DONT do nowadays is think, instead they let society think for them, and tv tell them whats right and whats cool. seach for nujabes - think different. oh and by the way people do use their feelings, they are driven by fear for the unknown.
now that ive heard Gil Scott-Heron´s " the revolution will not be televised" ... i kan see that pase rock probably had a hint of inspiration to that song... right?
It is true i totally agree with you people. Let the idiots watch the media/mainstream hip hop while we listen to this kind of music. Man myself I'm so happy that i found the underground. It saved me from the idiotic music on television and the radio. But to be honest, if it wasn't for the radio there wouldn't be any underground music though =) . So unfortunately in order to be something, something else has to happen. That's blessing with this music for life..
I've listened to this song every day for the past month. Every time, I get something new from it. Every day now, I try to be even a little more observant than the last, try to take in a little more knowledge than the last. A shame that a song with that kind of power isn't replacing the songs on the radio now. Imagine that -- A song worth overplaying. Thank you for posting this.
Thanks for posting this man, i just heard it on internet radio yesterday and it hit me pretty deep. Im inspired to write when i listen to art like this
when i first heard this song I was depressed as hell. I felt exactly like these lyrics. somedays I still do.

@TAHMURI Knowledge is useless without understanding.
Thought without action is just a passing memory.
Mediation is better than dreaming , the mind is still awake enough to rest and reflect with control without real effort. Peace.
