Dunno why the title says Dinicu-Heifetz Hora stacatto as if they had both composed this lyrical masterpiece... it's Heifetz who first heard Dinicu playing it and immediately fell in love with it (also calling Dinicu "the greatest violonist he had ever heard") so just to set the record straight: Hora was a personal contribution of Dinicu (it's made up multiple unknown-author tunes from the Romanian folklore)
As a pianist, I found myself concentrating on the accompanist. While supporting the soloist, she also displayed her own pleasing style at the keyboard. Most enjoyable.

slow, yes. but i think it's more difficult to fake staccatos when the tempo is slow.
