It's Simply a Generation Gap. But I would have to check out the original interview and determine if King was "Asked" of that opinion. If not, then it probably needed not be mentioned. Twilight sucks...Stephen told the truth...Twilight ruins what teens think of real writing. I'm the only one of my friends who hasn't seen Twilight's movies or read any books of Meyers. I've read quite a few of King's books. Twilight is a cheap 'romance' series, I think, by how the movies turn and how my friends talk. Meyer came out of no-wheres when Twilight was published. I think Twilight fans should lay off other writers who just give their opinions!

That's how constructive criticism is among authors, and honesty is the best policy. If SM came back with something, i would hope it would be a 'better' book. The twilight saga is a mediocre series for a target audience. King has far more talent, spent decades writing books, has sold over 350 million books and he's direct and more creative with his writing. He has room to spare SM some harsh criticism.

Yeah, though I an a fan of Stephen King and not so much one of Stephanie, I agree that he should not have blasted her writing skills the way that he did. He also blasted some of my favorite authors too, such as Dean Koontz. Stephanie Meyers wasn't alone in feeling the Sting of King, so to speak. And while I have never read any of James Patterson's work, my mother and brother just ADORE it, and I trust their opinion, yet King blasted him as well. King must have been trippin' that day.

It's Simply a Generation Gap. But I would have to check out the original interview and determine if King was "Asked" of that opinion. If not, then it probably needed not be mentioned. I have to admit that even now as a 29 Year old, I find myself watching older or more complex books / movies then I used to watch when I was in my teens and I have to say...Sticking to your roots and adding some flavor to it is never a bad thing.
