Janie Fricke is very likely the best harmony back-up singer ever. She does pretty well singing lead, too, by the way, and is not hard on the eyes either. Oh, and yeah, Merle's pretty good, too! lol
I stood behind Janie Fricke at a state fair when I was 14 years old in 1987 starring at her butt. She was 40 years old then. It was the nicest butt in bleached white jeans I've ever seen. And, she's a dam good singer. If only I had of been 20 years older.
For Merle fans, you should notice that he forgot to sing the chorus between the first and second verses....Janie leaned into the mic. to sing the chorus, but pulled back when she realized he wasn't going to sing the chorus. Still great stuff though....Gotta' love Merle.
