All schindler elevators have escape hatches but you can only open them from outside the cab.the reason for this is because people would be climbing out while it's moving possibly causing serious injury or death.
They are telescoping, the ropes are only on the upsidedown cylinders to keep them in sync because of the multiple stages. The pistons are out of ground they are our and upside down. This is a 330A model in your video.
So bassically its your basic Schindler 330A hole-less hydraulic. Be careful when you say upside down and ropes because you can confuse people, like I am right now.
This is a hydraulic elevator and the pistons are upside down so there is no hole in the ground. The pistons are roped with cables and shivs to keep them in sync. I used to install this type and the single jack ones also.
I do not think those are roped hydraulic elevators. I believe they are telescoping hydraulic models, instead. The vertical acceleration is to soft for an inground hydraulic.
I think its a hole-less hydraulic telescoping too. It makes sense when you see it... by the way, its so wierd when elevators do that.. I mean every time I push the call button the doors close on me!
Okay. About the chimes question. On P2, first the outside chime rang for the OTHER elevator. Second the inside chime rang for the OTHER elevator. Then both chimes rang for THIS elevator. The reason why the outside chime didn't ring first was because he pressed the up button with the doors still completely open.
this is a hydraulic lift which is roped at 2/1. an interesting lift is the kone ecodisc which is motor room less and is fixed on a single guide. a recent accident however dictates a service visit monthly and therefore may not be cost effective
Nice elevator

Do elevators still have escape hatches? It'd be cool if you could do a whole video on them.
theend451 3 years ago
They do, but many can only be opened from the outside of the car.

I think I know why the door almost closed on you. The button opened the other elevator because when you pushed G, I heard both buttons ding.
Ih8escalators 3 years ago
Nope - it just rang both the hallway lantern and also the incar one.
musicfreakcc 3 years ago
The car bell didn't ding untill you pushed G.
Ih8escalators 3 years ago
Both of them rang twice, simultaneously.
