  • LOL Nice

  • she's a vegan herself, i think it's funny

  • Great way to showcase a lack of talent. She is one of the most unfunny and ugly people to ever be allowed on stage with a microphone. What a pathetic and worthless human being.

  • There is even a dating site for vegas called vegans.me!!

  • @satinISsexy The cheeseburguer wasn't because you eat meat, it was because you are american, you morbid obesse people.

The reality is that I started being vegan and never wanted to change anyone, and when I have to tell it to people everyone treats me like I am a "better than thou dude", being prejudist to someone who you believe is prejudist without even knowing him or her is the most stupid thing. And I don't have to deal with this fat ass

  • @satinISsexy How comforting. What an asshole dude; just because I don't like to get insulted like americans, doesn't mean I can't handle life.

    Go eat another cheeseburguer.

  • Is it just me or is that a chink?

    Kamikazeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I'm a vegan and I find this insulting.

Then again I find every joke on stand up insulting.

  • @Th3VelourFog Vegans have a much lower rate of impotence. I agree with you on Margaret Cho. Sometimes she's hilarious. Not here.

  • Not funny at all and i watched till 5:20.......not one chuckle. What a waste of my life!!!

  • her peacock dress truly was fabulous. GURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL (Head explodes)

  • last night a vegan rocked my world! :D cuz im a vegansexual! i luv Margaret Cho! cuz any kind of luv is fine it's hate that we have to worry about. :D loveeee herrrr fag hag assss . . .

  • The most unfunny thing I have ever seen on youtube.

  • The most unfunny thing I have ever seen on youtube.

  • "we need to block our borders and keep tha forgieners out..."....where the fuck you from!?

  • I don't see how anyone could hate someone for defending a helpless creature. Just sayin'.

  • She is vegan.. idiots.. xD

  • @Fallen80sChild

I heard somewhere that she sometimes eats chicken but she sees herself as a vegan. If it's true then she's not a vegan.

  • damn straight about vegans.so true. they suck balls.

  • damn straight about thats true. they suck balls.

  • duuude she needs to shut the f up. she shouldnt be saying anything mean about gays or people of color or vegans... thats wrong. what r u guys laughing at? she not funny.

  • 70 people didn't look at those bones

  • "BECAUSE THEY'RE HUNGRY!"

    Actually dying of laughter atm.

  • I'm a vegan but I find this hilarious

  • LAME...! neah!

  • LOL, I'm vegan and I loved her joke. LOL, I've gotten into not a few heated fights!

  • i know many funny ass asians, but this one fails -.-

  • not funny

  • Is that "comedy" in the US? Making a few simple political statements that the audience agree with?

Oh, and Vegans are hungry? "That's gold, Jerry, pure gold"...

  • Well she isn't funny, but whatever.

  • i got into a fight with a vegan before....he threw my sketch book in the trash...so i threw his Dead Kennedys bag in the trash....so he attempted to smash me in the head with a stool....so i kicked him in the nuts....he left me alone after that.....which is a shame...i like fighting with think-they-know-it-alls...

  • @ArielDarkBlade69 Awesome display of maturity.

  • @truth2748 well i was only 15/16 at the time

  • lols, what has to happen here is the realization that most ppl do not CARE if a person eats meat or not, it really doesnt matter to me if you choose to nahm on a steak or pass it for the salad, what annoys "meat eaters" is when "vegans" think they need to advertise it, to campaign for others to go vegan, and the often arrogant attitude in which some go about it. SO...having said that, chilax...nahm a veggie...and leave the meat eaters alone ^^

  • @MsRockStarBarbie WE're wrong!!!!!!

  • asta lavista kitty hahahahha

  • I am Veg .... and this is Funny!!!! :D

  • U don't like chocolate Charlie Bucket does.

  • How is the death penalty wrong?

Oh well, that's not the point of the video.

  • XD biork lmfao

  • i'm a vegan too and she's too funny LOL

  • So it isn't really ebonics if Asians talk like that as well is it? Or maybe it's ebonics if you can't turn it on and off.

  • lol yeah our ancestors didnt fight their way way up the food chain for us to become vegan.

  • I adore Margaret Cho! I'm one of her biggest vegan fans! She wrote a book called "I'm the One that I Want" -- it's brilliants.

  • I do love Margaret Cho, especially the "asian chicken salad" joke, but this is just plain innacurate - vegans aren't hungry! True, I think about food more now, but only because of all the delicious things I want to eat! XD

  • I also find it funny that so many vegan's remarks I have read revolve around their craving/love of sweets. Man by nature has a predisposition for sweet and fatty foods, very good sources of energy. But, I think that Vegans go above and beyond with the sweets....fruit, cakes, snacks...etc, etc, to make up for the utter deprivations and nutritional shortcomings of their diet. If I eat a low fat/high carb diet I find myself wanting the same....sweets and other junk.

  • @tickyul I'm vegan, and hate sweets-soda, cakes, snacks, etc., my favorite thing to eat is whatever my body needs at the time, usually just vegetables. the vegans I meet & know don't really like sweets, none of them eat candy.

  • @ccher9 Well, I guess that you know better than me. How long have you been Vegan and what negatives have you noticed from the diet? I think that most of the time this diet will eventually make you sick if you do not at least supplement. I try not to be closed minded, I like to change my diet up every once in a while, but, I cannot see this diet as a nutritionally sound way of eating.

  • This chick is funny. :D I'm a vegan, and I LOL'ed.

  • This is soo tru WILL FUCK U UP

  • it seems like becoming skinnier made her less funny

  • Meat eaters are ugly

  • @TheFitnessJourney *noms on hamburger*

    Problem?

  • @TheForgottenMarioBro What are you asking?

  • Im not hungry :) so ..............

  • What else you gonna wear with YO BIRD?!

  • Her country is the USA, truth...unless you're first nations, your people did the same thing as her folks to get here.

  • Last time I checked that's an America accent she has. You should recognize it if your from the US, unless your from down south. Also unless you are Native American which is a small percentage of the population so I doubt you are. STFU. -___- You came here just like the rest of us.

  • @truth2748 I'm vegan, and didn't think her vegan joke was funny, but if you're gonna make racial remarks, try to make them a little less offensive..

  • @ccher9 I was I being racist by stating China's animal and human right violations?

  • hey wssup with your eyes....you squint or maybe retarded ?

    oh...or are you meat eater...

    meat eater! hhahahaha!

  • She's very funny. It's just a different kind of stand-up comedy. It's insightful and provocative.

She reminds me of Bob Hope except she's much more intelligent and brave.

  • BE MORE FUNNY!

  • because they're HUNGRYYYYY!!!!!! Genius!

  • She's lovely and smart; I wish she were funny.

  • I don't know wether to laugh or to get mad! lol :P

  • Haha she tends to have that effect doesn't she? ;)

  • Haha wow! Jokes about blacks, gays, vegans, and even a Schwarzenegger impression to boot! She's got talent!

  • Comment removed

  • it actually IS bad for the plantet....you need 9 kg of grains to produce 1 kg of meat....and a lot of methan comes from animal breedings.......and vegans are extremists because they think about what they are doing ? Or because everything that doesnt fir you way of living is "extremist" ? ha ha ..

  • Comment removed

  • @Crazybutnice91 haha come on, I'm soon switching to a vegan diet (the second I move out of my parents house).... But its just stand up, lighten up :)

  • yeah its not like i didnt understand jokes or sth, but what he said was no joke (he deleted the comment for some reason xD) and i dont like being called stupid from someone who doesnt even know what he is talking about

  • @Crazybutnice91

there are fucking terrorists against meat eaters.

  • Save a cow, eat a vegan ;D

  • Her first point is completely null. Kill the innocent but don't kill murderers? Okay. That makes sense.

  • heheheh im vegan : P

  • Oh btw I'm not skinny I'm 5'5", 140. I eat a lot of Thai food (I'm half Thai) and just replace the meat with tofu and I never really feel different it just comes natural to live without animal products. Anyways I enjoyed this video.

  • I'm vegan. I love Björk. And I LOVE Margret Cho! Don't call us stupid. I believe in reincarnation and I wouldn't like to be tortured and slaughtered. Remember we are just big brained primates!!

  • wow...what a ignorant little cunt

  • why is she funny?

  • woohoo! worst dressed XD awsome

  • oh gosh, love margaret.

i'm vegan and i can appreciate a good joke.

    ha.

  • @cyndisimism Eh, there are much better vegan jokes out there; especially those that are not actually criticizing the vegan lifestyle.

  • @cyndisimism me too :D

  • @cyndisimism I think she's great. I like her sense of humour. I'm vegan too and I never go hungry. The only problem is with any humour about minorities: some people take it seriously.

  • Lol, I haven't met a single militint vegan yet =p

  • Grow a sense of humor

  • Grow some soya beans.

    (BAM!)

  • Is she serious? 3 days for shelter animals is what he wanted?

    Thats terrible. T_T

  • who is she?

  • Margaret Cho

  • Watch the whole 10 minutes, not just the vegan bit: she's great!

  • then dont watch it!!!!

  • calm down yo. just a video.

  • Comment removed

  • you are talking about revenge, not justice. let's just distinguish the two things and move on, chap.

  • Peoples are created vegans by the rule of nature. Structure of human teeth resembles to be a vegan.

  • Umm, no, sorry. Not true. Not even a little, Are you seriously trying to make the case that our teeth show we should not eat honey, eggs or dairy products? Not only that our teeth resemble those of omnivorous animals more than herbivorous animals. There is a case to be made for being vegan but this is not it.

  • very true.

  • There are certain varieties of vegetables for example "Beans" which are rich in proteins.

  • I'm in stiches here. Wet myself already. I love M. Love the Bjork jokes

  • She did NOT get enough laughs for the Bjork jokes!

  • completely agree!!!

  • all this talk about eating veggies is making me hungry i might go make a steak sandwhich.. lol

  • haha I'm a vegan , and I still love Margaret

  • I thought it was funny:D people take things way too serious up in here.

  • ok... she crossed the line here! I love Cho with a passion. I agree with everything she is saying... (I am a lesbian, liberal and against the death penalty) She crossed a political line that should not be crossed. She looks a lot like Rosie O'donnel now!

  • Thats quite a trifecta you got going there lol

  • She's trying way to hard to be funny! I usually love her stuff... but this is terrible!

  • There aren't many good female comedians.

  • Except "swine flu" doesn't come from eating pork.

  • umm yeh but guess what? Swine flu comes from flu strains deveolped because of all the anti-biotics used in factory farming. These flu strains develop because the normal strains become immune to the anti-biotics and then evolve into different strains that scientists/doctors are not familiar with. So although it doesnt come from eating pork it does come from the current methods used in the meat industry.

  • @djkittycat it comes from the demand for pork consumption. learn.

  • Infected pigs and cows and stuff are vegans too.

  • It is a total misconception that eating meat is healthier. Meat has protein, but so do beans, soy, nuts, ect. And all of them are healthier choices because they have more fiber and essential fats than meat does. Not to mention, being vegetarian is better for the environment.

I DO have enough protein in my system, and I DON'T enjoy being labeled as "deathly skinny and gross." And if you didn't mean all people who don't eat meat are this way, I would seriously consider rephrasing your comment.

  • Meat is not only a cruel and inhumane way to obtain food, it is also horrible for the planet because of the stockyards full of cow crap that seep into the soil and also creates methane gases which contributes to global warming.

Meat has protein but it also has a lot of other things that are not good for you but if you eat soy, you get the full benefit of protein without the fat and hormones. You don't need so much protein to be healthy, this is the big meat eater myth.

  • This supposed to be funny???? shit i missed it.

  • Funny how vegans are the only living organisms on earth that don't know the difference between what other living things are it's companions,or it's food.Even other animals know what they can eat and what is their companion/enemy(higher on the food chain or simply too dangerous for them to eat).lol.You know they're no longer considering a difference between the human and animal race? They are calling us "fellow animals" instead of humans.Talk about living in denial!

  • Ugh...duh. Did you just figure out that human beings are animals?

  • Since when? They brought up evolution?lol.I've never heard such a thing in my life.I've always been told that there's a "human race" and an "animal race".Therefore, there IS a difference.Unless scientists decided that calling us a "human race" is obsolete.I know we're "mammals" but never been told we're "animals".We ARE different than them in many ways which is why we're called the "human race".Last I checked anyway...

  • Ummm...I've heard the phrase "human race", not "animal race". "Animal" is one of the kingdoms in biology, and there are races within that. "Mammal" is a further subset within the animal kingdom, so if you understand that humans are mammals you HAVE to admit that we're animals. Every single mammal on earth is an animal.

Humans are different to other animals in many ways, I agree, but that doesn't prove we're not animals too.

  • I see now.Thanks ;)

  • @francinium he still hasn't figured it out.

  • here's a message to all the vegans who might be reading the comments: EAT A STEAK U PALE BASTAD

  • Queen, Please

  • I haven't seen anyone say this... Margaret cho is herself, vegan. No joke.

  • Yeah, a vegan who sometimes eats chicken...

  • stupid vegans?!?!?! HA! ignorant people make me laugh...

  • To the poster of this video: Why do you say stupid?

  • matter of fact, Dennet says it was rather wise for the sheep to adop a shepard... at the expense of spontaneous breeding (and sometimes not even that) they're provided with everything they really need....

  • the sheep to adopt a shepard... no theyre just protected, kept within certain area and then the shepard kills all its babies. sheep call for their lambs for months after it has been taken away for slaughter if they where happy they wouldnt do that

on an evolutionary bases it was a bad idea for the sheep to adopt the shepard because the shepard just bread the really fat massivly wooly coated short legged ones so that they can hardly run, depend on us shaving them and cant jump higher than 30cm

  • I'm in favour of both abortion AND the death penalty.

I also couldn't live even a week as a vegan, it is a stupid and dogmatic diet that is not even followed by any major religions who usually allow consumption of animal by-products like eggs and milk.

Does an animal suffer if you protect, shelter, feed it and keep it healthy but milk it for all your troubles?

We would still be scrabbling around in the earth like common apes if we hadn't mastered agriculture.

  • Many Buddhists are. Thich Nhat Hanh for example, who inspired Martin Luther King Jr to oppose Vietnam war. Interestingly, Kings wife and son are vegan, he said Animal rights is the "logical extension" of his father's philosophy of nonviolence. Dairy cows suffer tremendously. We are not doing them any favors by breeding them into existence to serve as milk machines, to live 1/3 their life span before they are spent from being repeatedly pregnant and milked. Their male calves are killed for veil.

  • "suffer tremendously"?????

Healthy, comfortable and non-stressed animals produce more. Why do you think farmers spend most of their budget on veterinary care and warm and dry shelter during the worst weather?

It is both illegal and illogical for a farmer to mistreat or allow the suffering of their quarry.

Also my point on religion is a total vegan diet is an individual choice of Buddhist, it is not REQUIRED, just like many Christians are teetotallers but it is not expected of them.

  • I used to think the same way and that's exactly what animal agri-business will tell you.

Have you ever seen a starving stressed dog with puppies, they'll still produce milk as it's their bodies number one priority. Cows bones will literally wither away as they are milked to death. Furthermore cows are bred, fed and drugged to produce even more milk. These are facts. They are disposable to industry and easily quickly replaced with their female offspring.

  • So what if they are disposable? Every tear shed for a cow is a waste of empathy considering the immeasurable level of HUMAN suffering that exists in the world.

I have heard the opinion of people who come from Cameroon and Nigeria and they are DISGUSTED by pampered westerners who cry over a cow getting milked, a cow that gets better health care than 99% of their fellow citizens could ever hope for.

    Yet who protests for them?

  • It's not a zero sum game in that aspect, you can easily do both. The largest consumer product is food, and it has the largest footprint not only in suffering but in waste and pollution. We can easily choose food that creates less suffering just like we can not buy products of child labor. We can stand for the rights of all sentient beings.

  • Humans have eaten meat and milk and eggs for thousands of years because it is extremely efficient method of gaining calories in organised civilisation.

Humans can't eat hay or grass but ruminants like cows can. Pigs eat other waste and chickens forage.

The great human civilisations were built on the move to agriculture and animal husbandry. Humans couldn't have survived at all without hunting animals for meat.

In countries were they can't afford aspirin let alone vitamin pills, meat is VITAL.

  • Who cares if people needed meat in the past? Doesn't make it right to continue choose to do harm if it's avoidable now and certainly not sustainable. The land we waste on hay and grass can be used to grow vegetables. Growing crops to feed animals is HIGHLY inefficient. It's a fact that we can feed more people without turning it to meat first. Water as well, it takes 2500-5000 gallons of water to get one pound of beef. One pound! Third world countries can feed more people with grains and veggies.

  • Hay is a BY-PRODUCT of grain production, it would be a waste NOT to feed it to livestock.

We cannot digest cellulose, 80% of plants are cellulose, THAT is the waste. Even a starchy potato has roots, leaves and the rest of the plant are inedible, so feed it to animals. Gonna eat Banana peel?

That water thing is bullshit as not only is it an exaggeration but animals would drink contaminated water that is plentiful but poisonous to humans so is useless - unless for livestock.

  • I cited the big agri-business's numbers which is being very liberal. 2500 gallons of water. Poisonous water? You gonna eat animals that were fed poisonous water? The number one contributor to water pollution is animal agriculture. Just google water pollution livestock. That alone is reason not to eat meat.

No I'm not gonna eat a banana peel, but that doesn't mean I have to feed it to a dog or a pig and then eat that. I can turn it into compost and for my garden.

  • Farm animals' digestive systems are FAR more robust than ours so it's healthy to consume their meat even if they drink water teaming with bacteria.

Compost heap? What a waste, might as well burn it.

Farm animals are bio-reactors, extracting calories from biomass and crapping out fertilising manure 10x the speed and efficiency of a compost heap.

#1 cause of water pollution = pesticides and fertiliser for growing VEGETABLES!!!

  • Compost is for organic gardening. Burn it? #1 use of crops which get pesticides is for growing them to feed animals!

  • Riiiiiight, when crops are bad, it is only for feeding livestock...

But when crops are good, then they are for 'holier than thou' Vegans.

Sounds to me like you are running out of excuses. If you just can't handle meat and anything more extreme than steamed carrots has you fain headed, then that is fine, but don't get some superiority complex with me.

  • You're putting words in my mouth. Animals die on soybean, corn, wheat farms which feed me. But even more die to feed you because it takes way more to first raise a cow or a pig or a chicken.

  • One more death out of millions and in the UK livestock are never fed grain, only hay and grain BY-products. 1 cow is enough meat for a decade.

You know the "least harm" is to eat cows that are reared on grassland.

Outside the USA (but plenty of places in USA) cattle are almost universally fed on grassland, hay, spoilage and other waste or wild biomass; never grain.

Search your feelings... you know it to be true!

Join ME on the meat side and we can FEAST at KFC together!

  • Hippies claim that US farmers make grain less available by feeding to cows. There's plenty of grain, otherwise it would not be cheap enough to feed to cattle. The famines in Africa are caused by despotic warlords, UN can easily ship in tons of grain, but the warlords use famine as a weapon.

Chickens are VERY energy efficient in converting grain into meat calories + added nutritional value.

You can't eat plankton or any plant life from the sea, so aquatic animals are free calorific energy.

  • Grain is subsidized by the government thanks to big-aggro lobbying and vegetables are not. Yes world hunger is largely political. What if dogs were efficient at converting banana peels? Should we start farming them? We're not going to get buried in organic biomass, we can choose not to farm dogs and we can choose not to farm chickens and use crop land for foods we can eat directly. Parts that we can't we can turn into compost for soil.

  • Well pigs or chickens are much better than dogs as meat factories (that they have been bred to be). Dogs are carnivores; good for hunting, killing, guarding and an "extra set of senses".

It's typical... and pathetic you would try the dog empathy with me.
