Hey there buddy! Just one suggestion is to put a full piece of 2x4 horizontally from your studs and fasten to it. Much stronger and even though its not a tub and shower you might not want someone to push or pull on the handle and fall through! Good work though! Your fellow plumber for 5 years now =D
@chaotic719playa Thanks for the comment and that is a good suggestion.You probably have noticed on most showers and tubs that you have installed that the wall is usually more then 2X4 (11/2")thickness away from the shower.The shower was 1" from the wall leaving 1/2 of an inch to catch the vertical studs.This has worked very well for many years for me and I have had no complaints so far.Keep on plumbing and thanks again for the suggestion.Have a great one....Al
