  • I heard it before, but what is a rent-a-wreck?

  • These are lease units that have seen better days before being sold to leasing companies. Most of the units are in less than desirable condition, and break down frequently. (the Helm units were the worst) As a result, the railroads and employees themselves started calling them "rent-a-wrecks" due to them being nothing more than rented pieces of junk! A few lease units were rebuilt prior to use, but most were not.

  • Rent a wrecks lol I got a SD45 Santa fe that my yard uses to switch my Emerson Sub, guess its a rent a wreck too
