  • Peppers does that a few times every game. Big whoop.

  • gives me goosebumps….

  • The look on Jim Mora's face was saying "yep, tonight is going to suck."

  • BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!!! KICK BLOCKED BY STEVE GLEASON!!!

  • Loudest a stadium has ever been.

  • "It's not about the blocked punt or the Super Bowl ring. It's about relationships, love and what you do when you walk out of this room."

  • Chills

  • For all that dont know Curtis Deloatch played football at Hertford County High school in Ahoskie N.C. (H.C.H.S) Good job Curt.....Bear Pride!!!!!!

  • WHO DAT!?!?!

  • hands down one of the most memorable moments in recent NFL history.

  • First game back after your city was destroyed by one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the United States? No way the Saints were losing that game.

  • Joey T needs to comeback to MNF

  • you cant go wrong with morton anderson

  • Makes me proud to be a Saints fan! Love ya Steve!

  • Thanks for bringing me here ESPN.. MNF tonight.

  • Same

  • he just reminded me, thanks jon gruden. Hang in there gleason!

  • Wouldn't have seen this if it wasn't for Jon gruden. This is awakme

  • I heard about this on MNF too

  • I did lol

  • I did

  • who went here cuz rob gruden mentioned it on mnf saints vs giants

  • @melomash15 JON Gruden

  • @melomash15 me

  • whos the other commentator?

  • @jiddy8 Joe Theisman and Tony K from PTI

  • The moment the Saints were re-born, along with the rest of New Orleans. A play that we will always look back on and be able to rally around. This was the beginning of the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era, and hopefully Chapter One of an NFL Dynasty. I cry every fucking time.

  • Let's all pray for Katrina Part 2

  • The blocked FG is BY FAR the most OVERRATED play in sports history

  • byron scott?

  • That is cuz the saints are the best.

  • vick is no good at all

  • After going to a Saints game last year, Saints fans are awesome. They are so loud and so nice. What a moment for Gleason in that game.

  • Aww, I'm sorry about Gleason. There isn't a medical cure available, but God is the ultimate cure. I hope him and his family well.

  • one of the greatest moments ive ever seen in football. sad to hear what hes going through now at his age just sad

  • Literally one play that turned my Team around

  • Sad seeing him at the game yesterday. It is a shame that someone who was that active now can barely walk under his own power. I really hope they honor Gleason with a banner or statue because that play was A LOT more than just a football play.

  • @saintsfan92687 Gleason is definitely a hero of our franchise but let's not forget Scott Fujita who set up that play by sacking Vick. I think all the guys were giving it all of their hearts for the people of this city. Both Gleason (by honor) and Fujita got a Superbowl ring. Thank you, boys!

  • Steve Gleason you still Da Man!

  • Love ya Gleason!

  • Byron Scott, like the Hornets' former coach? I didn't know he was that versatile.

  • Thoughts are with ya Steve! Hang in there from the Saints Nation

  • Gleason now has ALS also know as Lou Gehrig's diease

  • @Bullrider300 Just heard. That sucks. I just hope someday there'll be a cure.

  • Thumbs up if you are watching this in the Michael Vick-Eagles era.

  • Gleason & DeLoatch should get Saints HOF memberships one day. It all started on this play.

  • 1:30 is the time when the levees started breaking. The genie was out of the bottle.

  • i normally dont like the mnf commentators, but they handled it well, not talking after the play, letting the crowd noise be.

  • @thebigeasy792 I didn't let your bitch of a mother be...I fucked her brains out, whore

  • @ProSportsFan94 Where would the Colts be without Peyton Manning? 2-14 most likely.

  • @asykes9 i think even the 72 undefeated dolphins would've lost that night

  • Listen to that crowd man.

  • Thats my cousin curt who scored

  • WHO DAT SAY DEY GUNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!!!!!!

  • "TOUCHDOWN, NEW ORLEANS!"

    Goosebumps, every time.

  • can someone please help me, go to my saints baby vid, and look what one sick basterd named lumensable posted as a comment. idk how to handle that shit, but something needs to be done about it

  • Gleason o yeah loved his 61 rating on madden haha.

  • Plz stay Reggie bush

  • I was so happy for the Saints but also for Gleason & his block as he was A WSU Cougar & played a few years a special teamer & played well. Go Cougs & Saints.

  • The beginning of the New Era in NOLA.

  • AINTS SUCK what a joke these bums won a superbowl...the seahawks tapped that ass lol

  • @botzaro00 It's kinda sad that you probably waited a whole year just to say that.

  • @botzaro00 You must have Low-self esteem. You poor thing.

  • @botzaro00 hey, congrats on your seafucks winning on a fluke, all i know is we will have more pride for our city and team no matter what happens then you will ever have

  • @39120c True dat!

  • @TheBodyBuilder2012 I'm on here because its an easy way to get my videos out for baseball scouts. Also because I'm so busy with training at Marist our local college at age 16, I never have time to answer to people who want to argue about youtube videos. No harm was done with my comment so I do not see your reasoning for your response as it was very hedonistic. I'm done here. Have a nice day.

  • the falcons are going to beat the saints again!!!

  • @TheBodyBuilder2012 yeahhh no they didnt we beat them bud

  • @MrMotleycrue27 thats ok...as long as the falcons clinch the NFC...beside, the falcons didnt get beat be the saints, the falcons beath them own selves..

  • @TheBodyBuilder2012 holy crap kid, you must not be a body builder if you cry that much...get out of here if your not a saints fan and you love the falcons

  • @MrMotleycrue27 first of all, im 30 years olds & a successful architect & bodybuilder here in Dallas...your the one that worships the saints as if they are america's team...if any thing the patriots & the cowboys (if they can start winning games).& as far as youtube arguments..its unfortionate that everyone's identity is secret otherwise, people wouldnt be talkin shit....here's some advice, dont ever fuck with a bodybuilder. • @MrMotleycrue27 ha ha ha ha..you're probably some skinny 18 year old kid who dont have any frineds and who still lives home your parents in the basement and you probably dont even have a job...playing video games all day, and probably to dumb and stupid to go to college...your sorry parents must have not shown you any attention nor love ..you're nothing but a waste on DNA..your parents should have wore a condom!!!...

  • @MrMotleycrue27 HAPPY NEWS YEARS TO YOU ALSO!! and may you have a wonderful 2011...lol

  • Steve Gleason, the same man who picked up the onside kick. Amazing.

  • @deejwheresyourpen Chris Reis picked up the onside kick. Gleason retired as a free agent in 2008

  • I love how some of the most memorable Saints plays where done by the most unknown players. Think about it, Brine Milne, Steve Gleason, Curtis Deloatch, Jerome Pathon, and Chris Reis. Where else have you heard those names besides the Saints? It's incredible! WHO DAT?!!?

  • This game is the reason why I like the saints and look where they r now, they are the greatest story in the history of the NFL the way they came back and I think most of it is because of drew Brees...I will always be behind you new orleans. Who dat

  • Best block in Saints history

  • tears is all i remember when this happend, after spending so many weeks in a hotel room in arkansas, coming home and repairing my house, and wondering if my city (and team) would ever come back, this was the perfect moment to assure me that not only were both back they are stronger than ever

    who dat for life

  • I've never heard the Dome so loud! Who Dat!!

  • I honestly felt during this game like this play was not just the Saints but the entire city saying to the world 'We're back and better than ever' What a play and what perfect execution.

  • If this doesn't send a chill down your spine or give you goosebumps I don't know what will. Everything that had happened to thi steam and city leading up to this moment was absolutley amazing

  • As a Louisianian and a lifelong Saints fan. To me, this is the greatest moment in sports history.

  • my cuzin curtists deloacth number 39 scored

  • i was there..

  • still makes me tear up dude

  • @notabadguy06 Yeah, dude...Same here.

  • i was there

  • Gotta love the dome when they go apeshit :)

  • They snapped the ball to the punter with 13:37 left in the quarter.

If that's not symbolic, I don't know what is.

  • @heyyougooutside excuse me for being ignorant, but what's the symbolism of that?

  • @heyyougooutside what do you mean?

  • @heyyougooutside Im a huge saints fan man...but Ill be honest, whats the signifigance of 13:37?

  • @deuce01983

1337 is internet slang for 'Elite'. It's used like "Wow dude, that was some 1337 stuff you just did."

  • @heyyougooutside

    HAHA ELITE!!!

  • @heyyougooutside I don't get it

  • @heyyougooutside This is likely an ignorant question,,,,,What does the 13:37 symbolize?

  • @JfnDWatchesVids Its internet jargon speech that uses numbers instead of letters and 1337 spells "leet" which is short for "elite" Which is just used when something is awesome or cool

  • @heyyougooutside Symbolic of what???

  • @heyyougooutside ELITE!!!!

  • I became a Saints fan after watching this game. This was the first football game I saw and I was a big Michael Vick fan and I was excited to watch him for the first time on this monday night game. The broadcasters were going on and on about the Saints coming back to the Superdome before the game started and I was getting bugged out. But after that play and the 37 seconds of the roars in the stadium, I will never forget that feeling.

  • Steve Gleason does Spokane, WA proud

  • WHO DAT?!

  • Even though the Saints going to and winning the Super Bowl is one of my greatest Saints moments.

This game will still be on top of my list=D.

  • @lpguy84

    Dat = Katrina.

  • Gotta love the MNF commentary crew.

  • Saints Super Bowl Champs!!!

  • go New Orleans Saints

  • I remember watching this Live. I never jumped up yelled in jubilation so hard for a team.....

And I'm not even a Saints fan.

  • I recorded this game because it meant so much to NO and the people of LA. When they blocked that punt and got the TD, I was fighting back tears while jumping up and down cheering!!

  • yea i never forget that moment, thx for the clip

  • When you say John Fourcade, I hope you don't mean he was good, becuase he was probally the worst Quaterback in Saints history. Don't matter though, Bobby Herbert, Arron Brooks, and even Archie Manning could never make a stand to the way Drew Brees plays.

  • still sends chills up my spin and makes my eyes well up....

    ,,,,GEAUX SAINTS!

  • Waive Brunell, pick up John Fourcade

  • no saintsfna.....i was there you idiot!--why would i lie about it?----youre a moron and i could give a flying fuck if you believe me or not!! lol!!

  • I love this, WHO DAT.

  • man diz shit wuz off the chain i wuz there

  • Good game Dallas. Just hope you don't have to see us again.

  • for me, best moment in sports history.

the feeling of connectivity even through the television set was breathtaking!

  • I'm a Saints fan and have been since I was about 8 or 9 years old I'm 40 now. The funny thing is that whenever something special happens such as Dempsey's kick, Hakim drops the ball etc. fans all say they were there if you take everyones word for it the dome and Tulane stadium must hold 2,000,000 people. I want to believe people who say they were at these events but it's really hard when it's obvious they have a lot of people who lie about being there.

  • i was at this game and will never forget this.............it was deafening...the noise...and people were tearing up...myself included. magical moment----go saints baby.....see ya in miami

  • best moment in saints history! so emotional

  • I don't think anyone will beat them this year

  • and to the dude below, you said it right.

til I fucking die. Go Saints.

  • I literally just teared up watching this...

A lot of other people feel the same way. It's just hard to describe how the hell a football game made people weep, and I mean a deep, joyful weep.

  • That night was electric for every Saints fan and anyone intimately involved with the recovery. It was like MARDI GRAS for the SAINTS. A night I will never forget!

  • best game of my life I'll never forget this game. Who dat!! till I die go saints

  • You could have had the '85 Bears or last yrs Pro Bowl team in there, the Saints were not going to lose that night.

  • Damn straight!
