every review is very impressed with this scout heli. I have heard nothing bad about it. I will be buying one tomorrow for this reason. I have a lot of helis and i think this will be a great addition to my collection.
Transmitter on first. Throttle all the way down. Then connect battery to heli and place heli on a flat surface. 5 seconds later- heli LED should be on and solid.
I've got a question. I just got the Scout CX for my birthday. I'm trying to get the battery in, but it's not clicking into place. I'm putting some pressure on but afraid to push to hard & break it. Should I just try pushing harder? Where should the red dot be in relation to the other red mark? I was able to fly it for a split second but then the battery came out. What to do??? Thanks.
@pookiecatblue The red dots should be on the same side. It might be that your battery connector isn't perfectly lined up with the helicopter's connector. Mine is a pretty snug fit, so I push on the battery side, and also on the other side of the part where it plugs in. It will make a snap when it goes in all the way. If yours isn't lining up at all, I'd visit my Hobby Shop or call Horizon Support, and see about getting one that does. Don't try to use "gorilla force".
I let a child fly my helicopter and the top blade disconnected, any suggestions on how to fix it... Everything appears to be there and not broken. I attached the little black piece to the blade.

@wichopunkass The transmitter must be turned on first before the battery is inserted into the scout.
