hx35 on this stang is only slowing him down especially if its not tuned...i ran a 14.3@95 with a bad 60ft of 2.1 on my merkur XR with the stock T3@19-21psi...nothings done besides LA3 ECU big vam/full 3in exhaust/front mount and a CAI...
I really don't understand why you think a turbo dsm wouldn't run what you are running stock. I bought my car for 500 dollars put a head gasket, and arp head studs. The guy that had it before me ran consistent 13.8's on the stock turbo with a boost controller, and fuel pump rewire. Not bashing i like the 2.3 turbo btw
@dsm525 I ran a 13.2 on a stock 1g GSX. DSM 4g63 engines respond to boost like no other 4 cylinder. Any Engine that comes from the factory "Boosted" can handle much more power than a naturally aspired engine but the 4g63 takes the cake. With only a EvoIII 16g and NO TUNE. I bought my GSX for only $1000.00 and have invested around $500.00 into it. 2.3 mustangs are nice, different, but not my cup of tea. You cannot go wrong with DSM's....
@shawnmgarcia I ended up running a 13.2 as well a couple weeks ago. I have maybe 2000 dollars in my car including what i paid for it. I think its a good deal. Just a bunch of small twenty year old problems :P
Where was its redline? was too much lag there or have spooled fast? I got a HX35w T3 divided also w/12cm. exhaust and Im planning on run it onto a Vw 1.8 8v ported head with street/strip cam (running it w/14psi aprox.) do you think will it be too much for it? Im looking to make about 300-320 horses I`ll really Appreciate your opinion.
Hey man, ricers will be ricers. They give us real car guys bad names. No respect for anythign but what they like. I got a 88 turbo coupe that I cant wait to start building, glad to get some ideas for stuff to do to my bird! So far all i did was re route the vac lines for the turbo and its pushing out 15 psi now
Way too much money to waste on a car just to have it go 14's plus that turbo is way to oversized for his goals. I don't get Honda kids and VW kids, They will all throw a huge turbo on their cars and run 7 psi. Mine as well get a evo 3 16g and run 8 psi and have power quicker and longer, granted it won't pull as hard as a 35r at 7 psi but it would be better for street use.
read the description. hes running 20psi. the car runs 14's because it is untuned and built with $1000! what car can you build that will run 14's for $1000? including the car! And since when are svo mustangs anywhere near civics or vw's? I tierd of people running a stock turbo complaining about other peoples cars. NO one cares about your evo on stock boost its still slow.
@super2ner I bought my first eclipse for $500, did the free mods and hit the track, ran a low 14.1, went back in the fall and ran a 13.8. Completely bone stock with the free mods. You can't beat a real domestic/foreign car.
ive got 15,000 miles on this build, and it gets 30mpg highway. all ive had to do is change the oil in it. i resently put an hx-40 on it just for giggles.
For 800 bucks I could have bought a DSM that does that stock, why would anyone waste their time and money on a mustang, it is just senseless to do that.
with a tune and a set of injectors its a low 12 car. still would come in under a $1000. had 20 psi by 3200 rpm. actually the hx35 was undersized. it would make full boost right out of the hole. no spark retard and no NOS. you sure you know your turbos?
i looked around a little on ebay, couldnt find anything dsm turbo for under $2000 that run. hell i run a 14.0 with $800 imagine what another $1200 would get me lol. to late anyways, its getting set up for water injection and a megasquirt this winter. hopefully i'll have a much more respectable 11.* for under $1500 heheh.
@b2urbo Your an idiot, the hx35 is rated for 55lb/min. Thats good for 550-600HP, obviously you know nothing about turbos and cars, hence why you drive a 4cyl mustang.
you find a dsm for 800 bucks that will do that stock without a blown turbo, and makes it down the track more than once, then talk shit. My buddy built a 380FWHP 95 talon, and says he'll never buy another. O, ya know what hes driving now? A 2006 GT. Quit talkin shit when those old turbo motors were unreliable as fuck.
Im very interested. Ill sell my 5.0 if you can show me these magical DSM's that do this for $800 bucks. My best friend is a DSM maniac and were both interested as hell.
@88Stangaruu I was a DIE HARD 5.0 and LS1 guy for YEARS... But when I was introduced to DSM's, I became obsessed. There is nothing like an AWD launch @ 6000k RPM and then feeling the Torque of 20+ psi of boost kick in right after a monster launch. With MINIMAL cash applied, you will easily hit your street goals. Don't get me wrong, you can do this with many v8's as well, but the look on people's faces when you pull then 5 cars off the line and hold it till finish is PRICELESS. Check out my vids!

WOW is that the slowest fucking mustang ever, 14's with a holset hx-35. Shit on a dsm that would get us into the low 11's high 10's.
