the chinese version you can get 30 lives only need to move the cross up and dows fast very fast and quickly pres botton start and if you heart a screaming death you got the 30 lives only in the chinese vertion not in the usa vertion

@dobrazil20 Now, this is an old comment, so you might have gotten your answer already, but on stage 3, there is a place where you can collect 30 lives. At the top of the big tower, after battling the climbing midboss, there's a sort of hovercraft that throws out bombs and enemies. Stand on the leftmost side of the screen and use the standard machinegun(you just want to shoot the enemies, not the hovercraft), and tape down the fire button, cuz' this will take some time... But it works.

I had probotector which was exactly the same but with instead of humans you played as mechs.
